Next week, in GPS, we will be focusing on the correct way to write speech and punctuate it accurately so you can move the action in your story on. We will also begin to write the chapters in detail using success criteria to help us writing in an exciting, interesting way to engage the reader. If you wish to start writing your chapters, you may but please consider the success criteria on slide 8 for each chapter.
Planning the story in to chapters.
You have already planned the setting and described you main character and other characters they relate to. Now,
you need to out line the chapters. Here’s an example to help you below.
Intro- the setting and the main characters (completed last week)
Chapter 1- Glacie is introduced to all the polar animals but Razor is sulking and refuses to go to
the ceremony. Celestia confronts Razor.
Chapter 2- Glacie and Norman persuaded by Razor to play tag on the ice bergs. Glacie gets trapped
by a group of aggressive walruses. Razor runs to fetch Celestia.
Chapter 3- Celestia rescues Glacie, but is pushed into the ocean with the walruses. Razor tricks
Glacie in to believeing it is her fault and tells her to leave.
Chapter 4 – Glacie meets Foxy and Naz, who help her to survive and grow up. Meanwhile, the polar
bears are having a terrible time and Norman goes to find help. He finds Glacie.
Chapter 5 – Glacie is reluctant to return, but Norman persuades her and Razor is ‘deposed’ from
the leader role and Glacie take sher rightful place as the polar princess.
