Pastor’s Notes Fifteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Parish Family,

Earlier in this week we sent out an email to all registered Parishioners regarding the pending construc-tion on the interior of the Main Church. If you did not receive this note, please follow up with Angela Drain in the Rectory Offi ce to ensure we have your email on fi le.

As a recap: The interior renovation of the Main Church will begin at the end of this month. With the as-sistance of Danis Construction and our Parish Building Committee it has been decided to close the Main Church for the duration of the project. The closing will aff ord us a savings of about $80,000 and allow the Main Church to be completed in time for Christmas. We will be using the Cody Center as a tempo-rary worship space. Below are two important dates regarding the change of Mass location.

The last weekend Masses in the Main Church will take place on July 18th & 19th.We will begin Mass in the Cody Center on Monday, July 20th at 8:00a.m.

This is a historical moment in the life of our Parish! St. Joseph Parish has seen great growth and trans-formation over its long history, and I am so very proud to work with all of you during this current moment of great change. We have already accomplished so much with the eff orts of our Capital Campaign and I know we will reach our goal of six-million dollars.

I am happy to announce Rick and Patricia Jones as Co-Charis of our Capital Campaign along with Dick and Diane Erickson. Rick and Patricia have been members at St. Joseph for 25 years and we look for-ward to their valuable help in the coming months.

We are still using the drive thru only policy at the food bank because of the rise of cases in Florida. Our hours currently are: 8:30-11am, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

We are deeply grateful for the generosity of our church community however, we still need your help. This is what we currently need: Food- shelf stable milk and cheese. dry milk, beans, potato dishes, canned meat, green beans, mixed vegetables, juice, soups of all kinds, cookies, crack-ers, peanut butter, jellyHygiene products- toilet paper, shampoo, deoder-ant, bar soap, dish soap and toothpaste** we can also use zip loc bags of all sizes.
