    My Education Philosophy

My philosophy of education is based on the creation of a learningenvironment that encourages individual growth and discovery. When childrenenter my classroom, I want them to know that they are respected members ofour class community and that they each have something unique to contribute. The education setting should accommodate and foster the needs of every child. It is in the hands of the teacher to determine how each child learns best and toprovide the appropriate experience.

I also feel that it is essential to include all networks into the education ofchildren as often as possible; teacher, family, administration, and community.Open communication, an open door policy, and opportunities to shareexperiences with children are all ways that these networks make the educationexperience enjoyable. Children should feel safe within their learningcommunity. By providing a community that encourages risk taking, exploration, and individuality, teachers help to mold competent, sovereignleaders of tomorrow.
