Start your morning the New Orleans way with beignets and café au lait in Jackson Square! Enjoy the melodic tunes of the street performers while indulging on one of Louisiana’s signature items. Relax and relish the atmosphere because it’s the New Orleans way!

After breakfast, venture on the City Sightseeing Hop-on, Hop-off Bus to explore the city in a new way. The double decker bus makes a continuous loop every thirty minutes and you can hop on or off at any stop. You will have the chance to explore different neighborhoods throughout the day including the French Market, the French Quarter, Magazine Street, St. Louis Cemetery No. 1, the National World War II Museum, the Garden District, and Mardi Gras World. remember to explore the unique shops in each area like art galleries, local clothing designers, and footwear. Make sure to enjoy some of the cocktail lounges along the way as well.

Along your tour, try one of 1,400 restaurants that offer signature New Orleans dishes. The restaurants offer delicious, diverse, and exquisite dishes that showcase seafood, creole, and Cajun cuisine.

Enjoy a Jazz Brunch or a Gospel Brunch before you depart from the Crescent City. You will get to indulge in a hearty Louisiana brunch menu with mimosas or Bloody Marys. Gospel brunches offer traditional gospel music while you feast on your dishes. After brunch, return to your favorite places and purchase the souvenirs that you missed before leaving New Orleans. DAY TWO

After you enjoy breakfast at one of the many unique local restaurants like Mother’s, Ruby Slipper, or Café Adelaide, get out of the city and explore the bayous on a swamp tour. These tours will explain why the bayous are so important to the Louisiana landscape and they are guided by professionals that identify the local wildlife and plant life. After your swamp tour, travel to River Road and discover Louisiana’s plantations for a unique perspective on southern history and architecture.

Tour guides lead you through the plantation and explain how different sections of the estate interlock with each other. While at the plantation, enjoy lunch at one of the cafés and adore the courtyards on the property.

When you return to the city, prepare for a New Orleans cooking class at the New Orleans Cooking Experience. You will learn about Louisiana cuisine and specific Louisiana flavors. Also, you get to eat every dish you prepare in the class! You will learn how to prepare traditional Louisiana dishes so that when you go back home you can show your friends how to cook like a true New Orleanian.
