Thriller Storyboard with Shot Plans

• To start with, the opening titles will be incorporated in the shots. There will also be some motion tracking.

• In the first scene, there will be a low saturation to give the thriller a more ‘eerie’ feel.

• Some of the shots included in the first scene will be:

-Panning from the bottom of the tree trunk to the tops of the trees.

-A thirds shot showing Rae in the woods.

-A shot of a puddle with a reflection of the trees in, Rae then walks through it and we pan up to see her face.

-Another panning shot, but this time showing the woods.

-And a close up of a water droplet on a plant.

• Once we change into this scene, the titles have ended.

• In this scene there will be frequent jump cuts to create tension.

• There will be a low angle shot of people tormenting Rae.

• We plan to use a concealed light source to make Rae stand out when the bullies are tormenting her.

• Once the girls start to torment Rae, we plan to over expose the shot to white.

• At the beginning of this scene we plan to start with a panning shot to reveal the ‘den’.

• As for sound, we’re going to use a sound bridge continuing from the previous scene.

• Once in the den, were going to have some laughter echoing from the previous scene.

• A close up will be used to show Rae getting the book out of the bag.

• Once we hear the twig snap, we plan to use a close up to show Rae’s petrified expression.
