Parley Court is one of a number ofsites within Dorset that are underconsideration for extraction of sandand gravel. If this site is chosen therewill be a final consultation towards theend of 2014. The site is on the otherside of the Stour from Muscliff in anarea of land towards Parley. If chosenthere will be approximately 150 lorry

journeys each day at the busiest period over a 12 year period, with vehiclesusing the road access near the airport. There are many potential problemssuch as noise, dust, traffic congestion and flooding to be considered. Thecurrent period of flooding in which much of the land that would be used forthe extraction is under water which highlights the potential problems. We shallbe advising residents if the final consultation involves Parley Court later in theyear. The website for full details is http://www.dorsetforyou.com/mineral-sites
