 10 And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut 

down and thrown into the fire.

 

 

11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after 

me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you 

with the Holy Spirit and fire.

  12 His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His 

threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the 

chaff with unquenchable fire."

Luke 3:7-107 Then he said to the multitudes that 

came out to be baptized by him, "Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin 

to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I say to you that God is 

able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.

John 15:1-81 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are 

already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 

 

 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5 I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you 

can do nothing. 

6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you 

abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is 

glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. 

 

John 15:16-1716 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and 

bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. 17 These things I command you, that you love one 

another.  

1 John 2:18-2118 Little children, it is the last hour; and as 

you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us. 

20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. 21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

1. Obedience

Acts 5:28-3228 "Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this Man's blood on us!" 29 But Peter and the other apostles 

answered and said: "We ought to obey God rather than men. 30 The God of our 

fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree. 

31 Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give 

repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. 32 And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him." 

 

2. Healing 

Acts 5:12-1612 And through the hands of the apostles 

many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon's Porch. 13 Yet 

none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly. 14 And 

believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, 

15 so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and 

couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. 16 

Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing 

sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they 

were all healed.  

John 14:12-1412 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I 

will do it. 

3. Holy Spirit Brings Power To Be A Witness

 

Acts 1:88 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you 

shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of 

the earth."

Matthew 25:31-3531 "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, 

then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the 

sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 

 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My 

Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 

 1 Thessalonians 5:23-2423 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your 

whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 He who calls you is faithful, who 

also will do it.

1 Peter 2:9-109 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once 

were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but 

now have obtained mercy.
