already. Switching to EST gives us an extra hour to savor and this weekend’s winds signal that colder temperatures are heading our way. We hope you have had an enjoyable Autumn thus far and that you will have a creative, happy and engaging month ahead. We are looking forward to our meeting on the 20th at the Genesee Grande and hearing from Michael Sickler. We hope to have a good turn out! From the October minutes you know that we welcomed two new members to the CNY Branch. We look forward to enjoying the company, contributions and art of Polly Ann and Ilene. Please remember to send your check to Evelyn Dankovich for the Holiday Party on December 13. Everyone enjoyed the food, company and camaraderie last year. Also be sure to check our blog and sign up to follow it! Many thanks to Katie Turner for the lovely job she is doing on our Newsletter. Hope to see many of you soon.

Call for Fundraising Ideas
At our September meeting, Program Administrator, Marilyn Forth suggested that, in honor of the branch’s 90th anniversary in 2016, we raise funds to purchase art supplies for Syracuse City Schools. To that end, she has requested that we develop ideas as to how to carry out this noble plan. Please send your proposals to: Marilyn Forth, 7658 Haylage Circle, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.

Janet Fagal is happy to be sharing her poetry ideas with classroom teachers this month at the annual New York State Reading Association Conference in Liverpool, NY.
