The Tides’ gorgeous waterfront views, breathtaking event spaces and gracious service create the perfect setting for an unforgettable celebration. The Tides also boasts beautiful venues available for welcome events, bridal party luncheons and farewell brunches.

Signature Culinary OfferingsLancaster Lemonade was born on a snowy day in 2010 at the Tides Inn, when TV Flynn, Food & Beverage Director, and Gordon Slatford, General Manager, set about to create a perfect summer drink and signature cocktail. Despite creating and tasting a potpourri of liquid delights well into the night, the first day was a dismal failure. But refreshed and inspired by further overnight snow, these two mixologists achieved success on January 15th with a drink that is sweet, tangy and refreshing.

Now, Lancaster Lemonade has a faithful following in the Northern Neck and our guests are introducing it to communities across the globe. Bring a bit of the Tides back with you by making Lancaster Lemonade at home! The recipe for Lancaster Lemonade can be found on tidesinn.com.

Virginia Wine & OystersIt’s not just the Tides’ distinctive location, where the Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail and the Virginia Oyster Trail meet, that makes our culinary program so great - it’s also the quality of the Tides-to-Table cuisine prepared by executive chef TV Flynn, and the beautifully curated wine list by our Sommelier at the Chesapeake Club. With access to fresh, wild oysters from the local waterways, we are able to offer some of the most delicious varieties you’ll ever taste. Roasted or raw, you are sure to delight in these superb delicacies, expertly prepared by our culinary team. Our wine list was recently honored with the Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator, a designation assigned to the most outstanding restaurant wine lists in the world. What makes this designation particularly noteworthy is that over 70 of the wines on our wine list are from Virginia – exemplifying our support of the local vineyards of the Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail.
