Each of the 22 apartmentson Pjazza Tign has beenindividually designed with theend user as the main source of

inspiration. A set of projectedrealities was drawn up in order to establisheach apartments speci c requirements.We studied the needs of the modernurban dweller ranging from the single tothe contemporary couple to the home-worker. While each apartment is distinctlydesigned, the attention to detail and thesophisticated combination of divergentmaterials is constant throughout, depictingvarying interpretations of luxury.

Instead o workingaround the idea o astandard 3-bedroomedhome, it is unction thatdictates use in thesespaces. Where onlyone bedroom su fces,the other roomsbecome personalisedareas or a new straino live-in realities.

The piazza apartments also offer an exciting new

niche product: a home workspace which is not only

accessible and centrally located but which also boasts a

sought after address. These living spaces may not only

be the location of ones workday but can also become a

showcase for that same work too. There is something in

every apartment that not only creates the wow factor,

but is a statement for its particular design concept.

An imposing double-height gallery space will attract

the artist, or house the connoisseurs collection. A

marble-clad living room offers serenity and sanctuary.

Unique staircases, mostly in wood or steel, epitomise

the character of the individual apartments. Marble isused extensively, alongside wood, concrete, travertine,

plaster, wallpaper and tile. The selected palette is

restrained and muted yet at the same time luxurious

The brief for the Tign Point architects, aoM Partnership, was to

design a new contemporary village with a central piazza which

would become the heart of the development and indeed, the whole

peninsula. Pjazza Tign can claim to be the largest square in the

fashionable town of Sliema, resurrecting a very Maltese and indeed

European tradition in a vibrant seaside setting. That Pjazza Tign is

uniquely and totally car-free is of prime importance to everyone who

will enjoy time there. Every element has been carefully considered.

This central core with its radial walkways is one of the factors that

allows light to permeate through to every residence. Much as in

Maltas capital city Valletta, this interplay also allows cooling breezes to
