While across our world tremendous strides are being made for democracy and equality, there persists a stubborn unwillingness to expand the humanistic view. With territorial disputes, the problem of teen violence, guns, and racism so prevalent in today's society, the relevancy of this classic tale is magnified tenfold. Since it is through the Arts that we are able to view ourselves, our culture, our tendencies and pitfalls in a manner which allows a sublime vista, it is my hope that the viewing audience will experience West Side Story with new eyes and garner the deeper message this tale of love, dominion, separatism, and deceit seeks to trnsmit. An elevated level of realization in all aspects of life will thus enable us to change old perspectives, replacing them with compassion and respect for the dignity of human life; a requisite for the survival of our human race. For these and several other reasons, it has been my privilege to have had the opportunity to express my vision of this classic story.

Finally, to have worked with such a superlative production staff, as well as wonderfully talented, and determined cast members, has been an extraordinary experience I will not soon forget! Thank you ALL very much for your support and diligent efforts!!!
