Vaisala Tiltable Masts, the 6‑meter DKP206 and 10‑meter DKP210, are suitable for awide range of surface weather and climatological applications. The masts are availablein two colors, white (DKP206W and DKP210W) or orange and white for aviationpurposes (DKP206AV and DKP210AV).

DKP206 and DKP210 mast tubes aremade of anodized aluminum. Theremaining parts of the main assembly aremade of stainless steel to resistweathering.

Tilting for maintenance tasksOne maintenance person can effortlesslytilt the mast with the optional and easilydetachable tilting set. Note that thenumber of persons needed depends onlocal safety regulations.

The sensors and other equipmentinstalled on the upper mast assembly donot need to be removed whenperforming maintenance tasks. Thissignificantly reduces the automaticweather station maintenance costs.

Mast delivery contentsThe basic mast delivery includes the airterminal with grounding cable, one set ofguy wires, and the lifting rod. All thecomponents are packed in durablecardboard boxes that are suitable for airfreight.

Lightning safetyThe air terminal protects the sensors andother equipment. From the air terminal adown conductor runs to the groundingconnector at the base of the mast. Theequipment is always grounded to aseparate grounding point.

Proven wind resistanceWith one standard set of guy wires, themast can withstand winds of up to50 m/s (112 mph) when the weatherstation enclosure, solar panel, andsensors are installed on it. DKP210includes an optional second guy wire set,which enables it to withstand winds ofup to 75 m/s (157 mph).

Quick and easy installationThe optional foundation set includes allthe parts needed for constructing asteady and correctly oriented base forthe mast. The only additional itemneeded at the installation site is aconcrete block of the correct size.
