The Comic Art Collection at the Michigan State University Libraries is one of the world’s premier collections of the genre,

with more than 200,000 comic books, 2.5 million individual comic strips, and

a comprehensive collection on comic art history and criticism. While American

comics are an important focus, the collection is international in scope.

The Michigan State University Libraries present theComic Art Preservation Project: an e�ort to make lesser-known, classic comics more widely available

to libraries, collectors, and fans.

The first series features the adventure strip Tim Tyler’s Luck, created by Lyman Young. The crisp, clean artwork was scanned from the original proof sheets produced by King Features Syndicate.
