The establishment of Kambaku Safari

ABOUT US

Safari Lodge has 8 elegantly thatched chalets traditionally set around the camp waterhole. Enjoy the waterhole from the pool deck or upper deck, or simply from your own private veranda. Each chalet is individually decorated and is equipped with an overhead fan, beautiful four poster beds, en-suite bathrooms both shower and bath. The main lodge features welcoming fireplace, small library and superb bar, whilst the upper deck provides a pool table for the younger generation as well as a games corner. With a traversing area of 12 000Ha, morning and evening safaris are always interesting and informative. Opt for a walking safari to experience the intimacy of the bush on foot. Relax in the heat of the day at the pool, or make use of our complimentary transfer offered to River Sands and make use of the spa or the gym facility. Shop for local artifacts and mementos in the curio shop; or delight in the bird life from the hide at Twins Dam. Experience our renowned warmth and hospitality during hearty brunches, delicious high teas and unforgettable dinners under the African night sky.

INSURANCE AND

INDEMNITY

Although the camp is fenced,

guests are required to sign indemnity on arrival. It is highly recommended that all guests take out personal travel insurance.

CUISINE

We strive to cater for all tastes and dietary requirements, and are happy to cater for dairy free, vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, Halal and Banting diets. Unable to accommodate Kosher guests.

MALARIA

The Timbavati falls within a 3% risk area for Malaria, however, it is recommended that prophylactic medications are taken when visiting. Please consult your travel clinic or health care practitioner.

• All guests travelling to South Africa are required to have 2 blank pages (minimum) in their passport.

• Children travelling with parent need to have an unabridged birth certificate.

Each child will receive an age appropriate gift pack to work through while at the lodge. We have included a range of activities in order to try and accommodate for all types of child.

IN CAMP…

Make use of our child friendly facilities including the pool, playroom, a variety of children’s books, puzzles and board games, as well as paper, pencils, glue paints etc. Our curio shop also stocks a range of kid’s goodies, and your kids will delight in their own menu! Child minding services are available, charged extra and are tailor made to suite your requirements.
