    Aselection o award-winning novelists and non-ction writers rom diferent parts o the world will

    participate in a packed programme o literary engagements, stimulating dialogue and discussion

    during the Time o the Writer international writers estival. Presented by the Centre or Creative

    Arts (University o KwaZulu-Natal) and with principal unding rom the National Lottery Distribution Trust

    Fund, this 14th edition takes place in Durban between 14th to 19th March.

    Freedom o expression will eature as an underlying thread within the estival and audiences can expect

    to hear the opinions o leading writers on creative and artistic processes and perspectives which inorm

    their writing as well as on the enabling or constraining orces o political, social and environmental

    contexts within which they write.

    Evening readings, book launches and discussions will take place at

    the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre while wide-reaching day activities

    (ree) are spread across Durban and surrounding areas as part o

    the estivals ongoing efort to promote and nurture a culture o

    reading, writing and creative expression. This includes school visits,

    a prison writing workshop, and a range o seminars and workshops.
