Time series measurements

Objectives:

1. Provide temperature and current velocity data for hydrodynamic model

2. Quantify resuspension during the spring

3. Provide size data of suspended particles

Methods

• 1. Deploy acoustic Doppler velocity profilers and strings of temperature sensors at selected locations in the outer bay throughout the year, and in the inner bay between April and October

• 2. Deploy tripods with transmissometers and pressure sensors in the inner bay during the spring

• 3. Make observations with a LISST sensor to measure particle size of suspended sediment

• 4. CTD casts

Deployments1. Winter 2008-2009: currents and temps at

stations 1-5, waves at station 22. 2009: currents and temps at all 6 stations,

waves at stations 2,4,5, and 6, attenuation at stations 4 and 6, LISST data at station 4

3. Winter 2009-2010: currents and temps at stations 1-3, and 5, waves at 2 and 5

4. 2010: currents and temps at all stations, waves at 2 and 4-6, attenuations at 4 and 6

have been quality controlled and archived

3. All other data has been downloaded but not quality controlled
