CONNECTION QUESTIONS It’s hard to believe Camp Invention is coming to an end, but we’re so glad you and your child were part of the fun! We hope he or she had an incredible time building a dream home, designing transportation of the future, becoming a robotic pet vet and persevering through the invention process. We certainly enjoyed watching children face challenges head-on, build friendships and have fun! Step inside your child’s dream home, and ask what unique innovations he or she created. Then grab a hammer, nails and some wood to take this model to the next level! Look for the NIHF logo in your child’s house to see how he or she has worked to make an existing invention smarter. Visit invent.org/honor and search our Inductee database to see the story behind the original invention. ROBOTIC PET VET™ It’s official! There’s a new pet in the family. (Don’t worry, it’s housebroken.) Your child is bringing home a one-of-a-kind companion that may be the inspiration behind a new career choice as a veterinarian, park designer or construction manager. OPTIBOT™ It’s an Optibot party! Today’s newsletter also includes the final piece of the Optibot Speedway on the back side. Have your child show off his or her Optibot’s abilities when you get home! Design a track together and learn about the ins and outs of sensor-based vehicles. STICK TO IT™ Food fight! Cupcake catapults are sending plush cupcakes flying.
