The main activities of the college(tourism: receptionist, cooking, farming, ICT)

Besides teaching this venue serves as a practising venue for the agricultural trainings (keeping animals, bio-farming, beekeeping, cooking, hotel services etc. Operating a pension students can practise hotel administration, hotel services, reception work, etc.

Nutrition and the School

• As part of the tourism training students aquire the basics of cookings

• From 2010 a new training will start: training cooks and chefs

• The curriculum proposed to the Accreditaion Board contains module „Nutrition Councellor” from Aphro project

The school has a sample kitchen and a canteen where students can learn the practical sides of cooking and

waitering services.

Questionnaire for students and teachers about healthy lifestyle

• Students and their teachers were asked to fill in a questionnaire of 23 questions

• The questions asked about nutrition habits, opinions about personal lifestyle, fitness habits, and self- satisfaction

Fitness and countryside tourism

- Introducing Nordic Walking to teachers and students

Students of countryside tourism should know what they can offer to their future guests as a fitness activity to increase the attractivity of the accomodation and services.Therefore we introduced them Nordic walking as a sport open to all ages and suitable for natural surroundings as outstanding as in Nagykovacsi area for example. So far we have organized a theoretical introduction where they could learn what NW is and why it is impotant in their jobs. We also organized two parctical sessions where they could learn the basic steps of NW.
