BEANIEUsing 7mm needles, cast on 62 (68-74-80) sts.

BEG RIB –1st row – P2, * K4, P2, rep from * to end.2nd row – K2, * P4, K2, rep from * to end.Last 2 rows form rib.Cont in rib until Beanie measures 16 (20-20-22) cm from beg, ending with a 2nd row.

SHAPE CROWN –1st row – P2, * K1, K2tog, K1, P2, rep from * to end … 52 (57-62-67) sts.2nd row – K2, * P3, K2, rep from * to end.3rd row – P2, * K3, P2, rep from * to end.4th row – As 2nd row.5th row – P2, * K1, K2tog, P2, rep from * to end … 42 (46-50-54) sts.6th row – K2, * P2, K2, rep from * to end.7th row – P2tog, * K2, P2tog, rep from * to end … 31 (34-37-40) sts.8th row – K1, * P2, K1, rep from * to end.9th row – P1, * K2tog, P1, rep from * to end … 21 (23-25-27) sts.10th row – K1, * P1, K1, rep from * to end.11th row – (K2tog) 0 (1-0-1) times, P1, * sl 1, K2tog, psso, P1, rep from * to end … 11 (12-13-14) sts.Break off yarn, thread end through rem sts, draw up tightly and fasten off securely.

TO MAKE UPNOTE – We recommend using mattress stitch and plain yarn to sew up your Beanie.DO NOT PRESS. Join side edges to form back seam, noting to reverse seam for first 5 (5-8-8) cm from cast-on edge. Fold brim onto right side.

COWLUsing 8mm circular needle, cast on 126 (180) sts loosely. Join to work in rounds, taking care not to twist cast-on edge.

BEG RIB –1st round – * K4, P2, rep from * to end.Last round forms rib.Cont in rib until Cowl measures 14 (20) cm from beg or until near end of 1st (2nd) ball, reserving 3 (4) metres for casting off.Cast off loosely in rib.

TO MAKE UPDO NOT PRESS. Sew in ends.
