Student Quotes
• I really love how successful the program is at advertising students to companies with an interest in taking in interns. Overall, it was an almost guaranteed way for everyone to obtain an internship over summer.
– Tai Nguyen, CS Junior, L-3 Telemetry West
• TIP hands UCSD students the necessary spectacles, on a golden platter, to discover the large scope of corporations eagerly interested to hire interns, making job searching as minuscule of a task as possible.
– Hesler Rodriguez, CE Freshman, Shopzilla
• TIP really opened my eyes to all the opportunities available to an engineer after graduation. – Kevin Wong, EnvE Junior, Peregrine Semiconductor
• Overall, one of the best summers of my life. Great and challenging opportunities led to the use of team work, leadership, and applied problem solving. The most valuable experience was the opportunity to work as a team to solve a real problem.
– Scott Kato, ME Senior, Solar Turbines
• I had not realized the extent of the technical knowledge I had acquired at UCSD. This internship provided me with a technical challenge that required me to use what I had learned at school.
– Hernando Rico, EE Senior, SAIC
• TIP gave me opportunities that I would not have had otherwise! – Charles Davidson, EarthSci Junior, SDG&E
