Teaching is generally considered as:

50 % knowledge 50 % interpersonal or communication

skill

Teachers and students demonstrate respectful communication in the following ways:

Use a tone that is honest and tactful, choosing words that are appropriate to the situation

 make eye contact and focus on the speaker.

Speak in turn, never interrupting the speaker. 

Communicate Respectfully

requires using different techniques in communication

Repeat yourself at least twice verbally and offer something for students to look at

Repeat Your Message in Different Ways

"Do you understand?“  teacher should ask the student to repeat

the main point or outcome of the conversation.

Check for Understanding

Gestures and facial expressions also give weight and enthusiasm to what a teacher has to say

A disapproving stare can work wonders on a student who is off task.

Nonverbal Communication

humor can lighten up the mood No dirty jokes

Use humor

Motivate them either verbally or non-verbally

Listen to pupils when they are talking or expressing something
