Tips To Protect Your Feet Against Calluses

Check your feet everyday so that at the first signs of a callus or corn you can take prompt action. The same applies to blisters on your feet. However, you won’t really feel these till they become irritated and extremely painful because of the neuropathy. So keep a lookout always.

Wash your feet with warm water and not hot water because hot water can actually scald the skin and give you more calluses and blisters. Warm water on the other hand can soothe the skin and get rid of dirt and bacteria.

Wear shoes that are a proper fit. If you go for shoes that pinch the skin or are narrow, you could have blisters and corns very frequently.

Always protect your feet with at least a pair of socks. Wearing slippers all the time is another way of ensuring that the skin at the bottom of your feet isn’t getting chaffed or hurt.

When you work out, go for something that has minimal impact on the soles of your feet – that way you stand minimum chances of having corns and calluses.
