You have to use Facebook in order to make

Facebook work for you!

*

*

* Recommended times to post early a.m. before 7 or after 5 p.m. –Think about when you are most likely to read the news or be on social media.

* Mid-day if you have something exciting or there is a lot of Buzz going on about your field of expertise. I call this “Staying In Tune”.

* Yes, you can post too much. I try to post something daily or up to 3 times a day if it is something that is relevant, newsworthy, or a must know for my readers.

* You are your own Newspaper, Advertising Agency, Public relations firm, and Biggest Fan- Keep this in mind as your maintain your page. Think about the brands you follow and if you are not following brands you should start. Learn by example.

* If you want people to post about you, post about them. Giving is infectious. If you give others a second of your time they will too.

Quiz:

1. How many companies

have you “Liked” today?

2. How many companies

are you following on FB?

3. Have you shared your

page with someone

today?

*

*Facebook offers a Pages Manager feature that will provide you updates on activity on your page. I watch this daily! I even downloaded the Pages Manager Application on my phone.

*You can also set a daily budget on Facebook to advertise your page. $$ investment into broadening your potential client base is worth the money.

*Don’t be afraid to gather a couple of people who won’t mind sharing your page and posts. Take a note of people who frequently share and post others information… they are undercover Buzzers and you want to stay connected with them!

*

* A Buzzer is one who will find out

Something on Social Media and create a lot

Of buzz about it. They will like it, share it,

Tweet it, Talk about it, re-tweet it, shared on LinkedIn,

Share it via text message and email!

* A Influencer is someone who people follow and has a lot of credibility.

They are masters at taking a topic, service, product, concept creating a

lot of buzz about it but they also effectively influence others to follow.

Check out this article from Forbes on the TOP 50 Influencers.

top-50-social-media-power-influencers-2013/

Everybody needs a team of people. At work and play you need a team of

people around you who will help you with your cause. If they believe in your

product or service then they believe in you. They will help you.. Just ask!

YOUR Brand is somewhere in the white space

squished between.

You are building a brand for

(Insert your LOGO here… Go ahead

don’t think it won’t be as BIG as these

because it can).

Think big:

1. Create a #hashtag that when people

see it they know it is YOU. #UBsmart

#UlundaBaker Let’s name that

#hashtag (hashtagging is a way to

start identifying your brand in the

market)

Let’s play NAME THAT BRAND!

• #Likeagoodneighbor

• #Youcanhaveit yourway

• #whereakidcanbeakid

Be Consistent:

Keep a common theme

throughout your page. Post

consistently, communicate

consistently and engage

consistently.

* Your Products or Services

* People (with their permission that use your products or services)

* Inspiring Messages or Photos

* Pictures of your product or service process (considering your proprietary rights).

* Post pics regularly that may help condense the amount of words you need to use.

* Depending on your products and services get your clients involved! Encourage them to post photos of their use of your product or service

*

* Remember back in grade school your teacher always encouraged you to create an outline. Sketch your Facebook Page out on paper and a Facebook Plan. Ask yourself these questions:

1.Where do you want your page to be in 2 months?

2.How many people do you want engaged in your business on Facebook?

3.How many “Like’s” do you want to have? Likes mean someone really stopped and took the time to view your page.

4.What is your budget to promote each day?
