Make it relevant, in terms of ROI. Before the proposal, develop a cost estimate of your expenses, which in turn – will help determine ROI. Offer to deliver a presentation and Q&A session to your colleagues about what you learned after the event so they can also gain the benefit of your attendance. Those who attend Education sessions will have online access to the session handouts and/or materials provided by the speaker. You are welcome to share the handouts and your notes with your team. Many of our Education sessions offer CEU (Continuing Education Units) Credit which you can use toward obtaining designations, maintaining certifications and advancing your skills. Have a plan that indicates who will cover for you while you're on-site at the event. Create an agenda for how you plan to spend your time efficiently at the show.
