Title SlideProgress Report

Name

Goal• Goal Statement – ex.

design/create/fabricate … - should be clear and short

• Needs/Problems – clear and short Space Lab with Self Sustained Power Supply

Design and Optimize Solar Panel

The slide should be concise, add labels & pointers to your drawings

Just an example of a flow chart:Here you can combine a block diagram/pictures of your project with the text – we will know quickly what are the caveats and how they are being addressed.

Overview Diagram for Target Objective

All boxes must have action verbs.

This slide would give more detailed info on your problems stated in the previous slides to reach your goal. Here you can also say specifically in words what is your T.O.

The previous slide was focused on Goal Analysis

Here are some comments:

• The previous slide should have time scale marked on each block so we will know what will be done when.

• Then you can go to specific tasks in this flowchart to show– what has been done already.– what is missing– did you have to introduce any modification & changes in design and/or analysis

• Things in all boxes must be measurable and observable.– Task analysis (the things that YOU do to achieve each box) will be included in written

report

• So the previous slide should be repeated with modifications to focus on selected parts to show the progress of your project. Spend most of your time on such recurring slides.

• That means that each person will have only 2 slides (#1&#2) the same. All others will be adjusted to the actual status/stage of the project.

Test PlanObjective Lead Date

1 When the power button is pressed, the robot will display its given name by outputting text to the NXT display until the robot is turned off. Len 10/10/13

2 When the start button is pressed, the robot will display the light sensor reading by outputting the appropriate text to the NXT display until the program is manually stopped. Len 10/15/13

3 When the start button is pressed, the robot will execute forward motion by rotating both motors forward until the program is manually stopped. Diana 10/10/13

4 When the start button is pressed, the robot will execute backward motion by rotating both motors backward until the program is manually stopped. Diana 10/12/13

5 When the start button is pressed, the robot will execute either a right or left spin by rotating the one motor forward and the other motor backward until the program is manually stopped. Diana 10/17/13

6 When the start button is pressed, the robot will execute a random spin by rotating one motor forward and the other motor backward until the robot has rotated a random angle between 45 and 315 degrees. Diana 10/20/13

7 When the start button is pressed, the robot will display the ultrasonic sensor reading by outputing the appropriate text to the NXT display until the program is manually stopped. John 10/12/2013

8When the start button is pressed, the robot will spin either left or right until a close object is detected by rotating one motor forward and the other motor backward until the US sensor senses an object between 15 and 60 cm.

John 10/22/2013

9 When the start button is pressed, the robot will demonstrate line detection by rotating both motors forward until a low value is read by the light sensor, at which point both motors will stop. Len 10/15/2013

10When the start button is pressed, the robot will demonstrate line detection with a random spin by rotating both motors foward until a low value is read by the light sensor and then rotating one motor forward and the other motor backward until a random amount of time has elapsed between 500ms and 1200ms.

Diana, Len 10/23/2013

11Target Objective: When the start button is pressed, the robot will demonstrate the cleaning algorithm by waiting 2s, moving forward to the black line, completing a random spin, and then removing 2 of 3 pieces of debris from the area in under 3 minutes.

All 11/1/2013

Another comment Test Plan

• Information from the boxes in list form. • Should include person in charge of each item and target completion date.• Test plan items should be objectives in complete sentences. (see ADDIE

slides)– specific– measureable and observable

• Don’t spend too much time on this. Just show that you have it and that all work has been assigned and scheduled.

• Since it is a progress report you can only use the future steps not the previous ones.
