Marie Curie

As you are already aware last month

some of the team here at the

practice spent the day at Tesco

raising money for Marie Curie. We are

delighted to announce that we had

raised over £563! We would like to

thank the generosity of the public for

your kind donations and for stopping

to talk to us!

All proceeds go to Marie Curie in

Balornock to help fund care and

support for families and patients with

terminal illness.

New dentist Kamal

Big welome to our new dentist Kamal who

graduated from Dundee University and he

completed his post graduate training in

Newport-on-Tay. He has since returned to

Glasgow where he has been working in

Bo’Ness until he joined us in March. Kamal

enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, and

also treating those who are anxious. He has a

relaxed and calm approach to dentistry, and

he will always strive to do his best for his

patients. He is a keen runner and having

grown up in Glasgow he enjoys trying out

new local restaurants with his wife, and

spending time with family and friends.

Dental Care by the use of

cosmetic braces!

Currently there are only 111 dentists for 56 million

people living in Tanzania and thanks to charities like

Bridge2Aid we’ve been getting once step closer to

providing care to 10,000 people that are currently

living in pain with no access to treatment.

We are proud to help sponsor the training of Baraka who has now already provided emergency dental care for over 586 patients!

Bridge2Aid is a dental charity that helps to bring emergency dental care to those who unfortunately would have no access otherwise. We are one of only 11 dental practices in the UK to become Gold Unity Partners with Bridge2Aid to help fund and support their amazing work!

Our dentists are always attending new courses to improve skills and help provide the highest standard of care for our

patients. This month our dentist Joe attended an advanced gum surgery course, this can be used if your gums have

receded a lot and the sensitive root of the tooth is exposed. In certain circumstances the gum can be repositioned to

cover the sensitive part. It can also be used for those with a gummy smile to help reduce this. If you have any

questions about gum surgery please feel free to ask us - we'd be more than happy to help out.

Our Nurses Bili and Gemma visited St

Cuthbert’s Primary School earlier last

month for World of Work Week. They

chatted with the children and told them

all about what its like to work in a dental

practice. Thank You to St Cuthbert’s for

having us, we really enjoyed meeting all

the children.
