Perih.—On the 26th ult., at the Police Court, before G. W. Leake, P.M. and Coroner, on the body of Ellen Caporn, who died suddenly on the 25th ult. Verdict—" That the said Ellen Caporn came to her death by taking ' Nux Vomica,' sold to her husband by Charles Birch, and that Charles Birch was guilty of manslauc'hter."

Fremantle.—On the 17th inst., from a bedroom of the "Commercial" hotel,—wooden money box, about 9in. X 5iii., containing 7 5s. pieces, ^£3 10s. in gold and silver, and 1 £1 bank note, the property of Thomas Johnston. Suspicion attaches to Bridget Mead, a servant at the hotel.—C.I. 346.

Perth.—On or about the 12th inst., from owner's premises, Newcastle street,—about 300 feet of 4in. x 8in. timbers, in 16 to 18ft. lengths, the property of Frank Collett.—G.I. 347.

Perth.—On or about the 19th inst., from the window of owner's shop, William street,—tin bo.x, marked " Woodbine," containing about 24 packets " Woodbine" cigarettes, the property of Miss Angove. Suspicion attaches to a boy named Gar­rett.—C.I. 348.
