Spirit of the Rally—Paul Moran (Border Motor Club)

For his tireless work in setting up the splits and merges which meant working very late into Saturday night. Well done Paul, and thank you again from all the organising team.

Fantastic Rally, not been here since the 2 day tour of lincs in '98 in the dark, me and dad thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Great stages no silly chicanes, friendly marshals and spring weather! Just need more power and bigger brakes! Well done to the young lad running the time cards all day top job! Can't wait for next year, thanks Border MC.

We had a fantastic day although it ended by our clutch pedal failing near stage 7 start. The event was brilliant for its location, organisation and facilities. If we can compete on this event in 2014 we will. white Subaru Impreza. Car 38. Thanks to Border Motor Club for an excellent days competition

Perfect conditions, interesting and thoughtful stage layouts. I was really looking forward to this one. First time in a 4wd and having never driven the car until the green light on stage 1, I had some learning to do! A change of front discs after SS2 meant the car was much more planted and less shaky! I was getting the hang of it after SS3, so myself and Steve were massively disappointed when something in the clutch went after 20 seconds of SS4. It wasn't fixable so had to spend the rest of the day watching everyone else. Well done to the organisers - fantastic event once again. Special well done to my Dad, Mike. Lost out on a class win on the final stage by 2 seconds and fin-ished 9th overall. Not bad in a ratty 2.8 Compact against some tasty Millington machinery. What a hero

Just got in from a absolutely fantastic day with it being my first event since the junior f1000, some fantastic stages and the car was spot on all day even if I did have complete brake fade ss1 :) and then to top the day off with a 1400 class win by 3mins and 25seconds !!! One thing I must say what a great atmosphere in the ser-vice bay and a great job by border motor club !!!!

Well done border motor club a very well run event. The stage where changed very quickly keeping the action flowing all day. What a cracking event! Huge thanks to the organizers, marshals, recovery and medic teams. Did not get the name of the two at arrival controls but they were the happiest most helpful marshals I've come across

Big thanks to all Organisers and Marshalls, this was our first time here at Cadwell and we decided we were going to try and go 'quick out of the box' !! We're 10th after two, then broke our gear linkage on the flat shift seeing us stuck in gear for the third.... Thanks to Steve Tlburn (car 24) for the welding gear. Dropped to 25th and managed to claw back to 13th and 2nd in class, that'll do for now ! Great event, my car setup was good, we we're good (almost !) so a fun day bar the broken linkage. Congrats to all who made this happen, a great example of a well run event, we'll be back for more

First time I have been to this event and what a friendly club Border MC are. Jay Stanley and I really enjoyed the venue it is a brilliant drifting circuit, never been so sideways for so far before. Would do the event again as it is very well run. Thank you very much to the club and all the marshals who were also very friendly

Slick organisation, great vibe, great weather and a great venue. Single venues can get a little tedious after 10 stages but this certainly didn’t. A great mixture of different layouts on a great track which mixes really fast open sections with some tight technical sections, too. I will 100% be returning next year, well done on a great rally to all involved in putting it together

‘Well done to the young lad running the time cards all day top job!’ - Yes, he did a good job - every time I'd just about finished working through a batch of time cards, he delivered another batch.

Entered this event for the second time after the success of last year. Well an enhanced entry in quality and numbers for the second year of running and Border MC added variety too over the previous year. Well done to everyone involved on the organising side, marshals, timekeepers, medics etc. Can't beat an event that's run by competitors for competitors, made even nicer when the organising team are approachable and engaging with the competitors in the paddock and around the stages. Well done. Forgot to say JP has certainly got a winning formula, great facilities, staff etc, though not spoilt the circuit. Re. our event, it was the first time out in the new car, first time I drove it was off the trailer and to the start of ss1, event was purely a test to see if it turned, braked and went, and to come up with a to do list. So to come away with 1st in class B we can't complain. Put it in your diaries for next year. Regards Andy Turner/Citroen C2R2

Brilliant event enjoyed by both Stuart and myself. Unfortunately a misfire on SS1 cost us about 40 seconds but a fantastic drive by Stuart saw us climb from 52nd at end of SS1 to 16th O/A by the end of the day. Big thanks to the organizers & all the marshals. Some in car from the day http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfSTGW-1 ... mQ&index=2 I would like to give a big thank you to the

organising team and all the Marshals for a great event , it was my 2nd ever event and loved every minute, Again thanks to all Tyrone Lawton car 64 Saab 900 8v

Just a note to say thank you for yesterday's event. The organisation was faultless and we thought the stage layouts were inspired. All in all a fantastic event. We will be back! John Hendley/Tony Windle
