Have you reported to Company why you must useportable pump?

Are the Hydraulic Oil pump, pipe line system, couplingof Hydraulic Oil hoses and valves in sound condition?(The hydraulic oil hose should be actually tested incase of long time kept unless use).

Are the Hydraulic Oil hose, coupling of hose and nut insound condition? (If any damage are found, should berepaired without fail).

Are the cargo hose, which intended to use in normalcondition?

    Is the pump condition normal?

Has visual inspection being done for hydraulicoil hose, connection coupling flange of cargo

hose, any contamination of pump and foreignmatters in pump impeller?

Has the plug of the cofferdam shaft sealopened and checked any inflow of driving oil orcargo?

If any leak is found, measure the quantity andrecheck after test running which is necessary whenbig quantity is found. After inspection is done, theplug with seal tape is secured without fail.

** How much the leaked quantity** What kind of liquid.

Is the portable lifting gear normal condition?(Check the condition of wire, hook by actual lifting test)

Has the hydraulic oil lines been connected properly ?(you must observe instruction manual)The return hose must be connected first and then thehigh-pressure hose has to be connected. Open themain valve by inches. Caution if hoses are connectedin inverse way, this is one of the causes of pumpdamage. If there is some air in hose at first stage, airdischarge is necessary.

Has the pump running test been done?

Pump testing:Put a blind flange on outlet of pump and put the pumpbody into half sized drum with water and try the test.Caution if pump is running dry, the shaft seal oncargo side might be damaged by overheat.During pump testing, put a blind on the cargo hoseoutlet, then pressure test of the cargo hose can alsobe done.

Confirm whether any leak, deformation ofhydraulic line, hose and connection parts

(especially, connection part of high pressurehose).

Confirm whether any leak, deformation, etc. oncargo hose.

Confirm whether any leak, deformation onpump body.

Is there any leak from shaft seal of pump incofferdam? If any abnormal leak is found, try touse other pump or renewed the shaft seal.

Is the hydraulic oil pressure normal? (See

instruction manual). The hydraulic pressure willbe indicated about 60-80 kg/cm2 during closerunning test and make sure that the hydraulicoil pressure can be adjusted by Flow ControlValve.

If ship has the equipment for measuring ofdelivery pressure, then confirm whetherpressure is normal or not (under the normalRPM of pump, the delivery pressure will beindicated about 9 kg/cm2)

If any air remains in cargo hose, pressure will bevariable and hard to get exact pressure. And if output pressure is lower than normal, theimpeller and mouth ring have to be checked by

engineers. After complete the running test, all the water in the

pump hose must be drained out before use ofcargo.

Cargo pump can be dipped into cargo but hydraulic oilhose should be remained above cargo level because itis necessary to check any leak from these hosesduring cargo operation?

Have you maintained the continuous monitoring to

adjust pump position and find any problems?

Do you consider to prevent spark by bump into pumpbody and the structures inside the tank.

Do you consider and monitor against the unexpecteddamage on cargo hose, hydraulic oil hose and line.(Especially leaking of hydraulic oil)

AFTER OPERATIONAre hydraulic oil hose and cargo hose in normalcondition?

Is cargo pump in normal condition? How much is the leaked quantity of hydraulic oil orcargo in cofferdam?

Has the disconnection procedure been done as perthe instruction? Caution (Return hose should bedisconnected at last)

Have the proper cleaning of cargo pump, cargo hoseand hydraulic oil hose been done?

Are the cargo hose, pump and hydraulic oil hosestowed properly? If hydraulic hose is stowed with big bend, it is liable toget damaged because the material is thiokol rubber.Cover the hose and pump to prevent any foreignmatters.

Above check list to be filled every 6 months when the pump is being tried out.TKR-15 REV 0/ 10-02
