CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION

Section I.

1. Scope

a. This technical manual contains in-structions on operation and maintenanceof the diesel fuel injector nozzle testerfor the operator and instructions for or-ganizational maintenance of the nozzletester by personnel of the using organiza-tion.

b. Appendix I contains a list of currentreferences, including supply manuals,forms, technical manuals, and other avail-able publications applicable to the nozzletester.

c. Appendix II contains a list of equip-ment and tools which are required by theoperator for operating and maintaining thenozzle tester.

d. Appendix III contains the maintenanceallocation chart for the nozzle tester list-ing all maintenance and repair operationsauthorized for all maintenance echelons.

e. Appendix IV contains a list of repairparts which are required by the using or-ganization for performing organizationalmaintenance on the nozzle tester.

f. The direct reporting of errors, omis-sions and recommendations for improvingthis equipment manual by the individualuser, is authorized and encouraged. DAForm 2028 will be used for reporting theseimprovements. This form may be com-pleted using pencil, pen or typewriter.DA Form 2028 will be completed in triplic-ate and forwarded by the individual usingthe manual. The original and one copy willbe forwarded direct to:

2. Maintenance Allocation

officer,

a. Operator Maintenance Allocation. Theprescribed maintenance to be performedby the operator will apply as reflected inthe operator-maintenance (first echelon)column of the maintenance allocation chart(app. III). In all cases, where the nature ofthe repair, modification, or adjustment isbeyond the scope or facilities of the oper-ator, organizational-maintenance person-nel should be informed so that trainedpersonnel with suitable tools and equip-ment may be provided or other instruc-tions issued.

b. Organizational Maintenance Alloca-tion. The prescribed maintenance to beperformed by maintenance personnel of theusing organization will apply as reflectedin the organizational-maintenance (secondechelon) column of the maintenance allo-cation chart (app. III). In all cases wherethe nature of the repair, modification, oradjustment is beyond the scope or facili-ties of the using organization, the support-ing maintenance unit should be informedso that trained personnel with suitabletools and equipment may be provided orother instructions issued.

3. Farms, Records, and Reports

a. General. Responsibility for theproper execution of forms, records, andreports rests upon the officers of all unitsmaintaining this equipment. However, thevalue of accurate records must be fullyappreciated by all persons responsible fortheir compilation, maintenance, and use,Records, reports, and authorized formsare normally utilized to indicate the type,quantity, and condition of materiel to be

inspected, to be repaired, or to be used inrepair. Properly executed forms conveyauthorization and serve as records forrepair or replacement of materiel in thehands of troops and for delivery of mate-riel requiring further repair to shops inarsenals, depots, etc. The forms, records,and reports establish the work required,the progress of the work within the shops,and the status of the materiel upon com-pletion of its repair.

b. Authorized Forms. The forms gen-erally applicable to units operating ormaintaining this materiel are listed inappendix I. For a listing of all forms, referto DA Pam 310-2. For instructions on use

of these forms, refer to FM 9-3 and TM38-750.

c. Equipment Improvement Recommen-dations. Any deficiencies detected in theequipment covered herein which occurunder the circumstances indicated in AR750-5, should be immediately reported inaccordance with the applicable instruc-tions in cited regulation.

d. Field Report of Accidents. The re-port necessary to comply with the require-ments of the Army safety program areprescribed in detail in AR 385-40. Thesereports are referenced whenever acci-dents involving injury to personnel or dam-age to materiel occur.

Section Il. DESCRIPTION AND DATA

4. Description

The nozzle tester (fig. 1) is an instru-ment used for analyzing and testing theaccuracy of diesel engine injector nozzlesfor opening pressure, spray p a t t e r n,chatter, and leakage. It consists of a hy-draulic pressure gage, fuel reservoir as-sembly, discharge block assembly, andbody and plunger assembly. The fluid usedfor testing nozzles is contained in the fuelreservoir assembly. The flow of the fluidis maintained by the pressure developedthrough the action of the body and plungerassembly and is controlled by the dis-charge block assembly, The pressure de-veloped during the various tests is indi-cated on the hydraulic pressure gage. Thenozzle tester is contained in a metal carry-ing case with all necessary accessories,equipment, and instruction handbook.

5. Data Plate

The nozzle tester has one data plate (3A,fig. 1) which is located on the dischargeblock assembly (3, fig, 1). This plate spec-ifies the manufacturer’s name, address,and code number.

CHAPTER 2

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Section I. SERVICE UPON

7. Purpose

a. When a new or reconditioned nozzletester is first received, it is the responsi-bility of the officer in charge to determinewhether the materiel has been properlyprepared for service by the supplying or-ganization and to be sure it is in conditionto perform its function. For this purpose,inspect all assemblies and parts to be surethey are properly assembled, secured,cleaned, adjusted, and/or lubricated.

b. Make a record of any missing parts,tools, and/or equipment, and any malfunc-tions. Correct any deficiencies as quicklyas possible.

8. Services

a. Unpacking and Checking. Pry off thetop of the exterior container and turn thecontainer upside down letting the nozzletester slide out of the container, Removethe barrier material enveloping the nozzletester and all cushioning materials, seals,and wrappings from the case of the nozzle

tester, also, all equipment stored in thecase. Check all equipment with the listingin appendix II to be sure every item ispresent and in good condition.

b. Cleaning. Remove all preserving ma-terials and clean all parts of the nozzletester, and equipment as prescribed inparagraph 23.

c. Lubrication. The nozzle tester re-quires no lubrication.

Section Il. CONTROLS, INSTRUMENTS,

Perform a general inspection of thenozzle tester to assure that allparts are properly and securelyassembled and in good condition(par. 22 b).Perform the preventive-mainte-nance services as prescribed intable I, paragraph 24.Operate the nozzle tester (pars.15 and 16) and check to see if thecomponents are functioning prop-erly by checking such items ashydraulic pressure gage, body andplunger assembly, etc.

9. General

This section describes, illustrates, andfurnishes the operator with sufficient in-formation pertaining to the various con-trols, instruments, and related items forthe proper operation of the nozzle tester.

10. Fuel Reservoir Assembly

The fuel reservoir (1A) contains the testfluid used to conduct tests when checkingthe performance ofThe - fuel reservoir

type filter element (2D, fig. 3). The testfluid is forced through the filter elementby atmospheric pressure and pump suc-tion.

11. Hydraulic Pressure Gage ValveAssembly

The hydraulic pressure gage valve as-sembly (3C) stops the flow of the test fluidto the hydraulic pressure gage. Turn thevalve handle (3B) left to open and right toclose.

Section Ill. OPERATION

14. General

This section contains instructions for theoperation of the nozzle tester under condi-tions of moderate temperatures and hu-midity. Every organization equipped withthis item must thoroughly train its per-sonnel in the procedures for operatingthis item.

15. Preparation for Operation

a. Mount the nozzle tester (fig. 1) on abench and secure with three 3/8-inch bolts,washers, and nuts. For portable use, mounton wooden or metal base 5 inches wide x15 inches long. Use 3/4-inch plywood orl/2-inch sheet steel.

b. Slide the pump handle assembly (4B)onto the handle shoe (4A) located in thebase of the nozzle tester. Solid shaft in thepump handle assembly may be extended ortelescoped, depending on 1 e v e r a g e re-quired.

c. Remove the fuel reservoir cover (lC)from the fuel reservoir (1A) with a com-bined twisting and pulling motion. Fill thefuel reservoir with test fluid and installthe fuel reservoir cover.

d. Open the valve handle (3B) and makeseveral strokes with the pump handle as-sembly (4B) to prime the nozzle tester.Close the valve handle.

Note. A vent screw (4C) is located on the side ofthe housing behind the lower discharge outlet (3E)and can be opened for thorough venting and primingif necessary.

16. Operation

a. Discharge Block Assembly. The dis-

charge block assembly (3) has two dis-charge outlets to facilitate the varioustests. When nozzle under test is connectedto lower discharge outlet (3E) and withhydraulic pressure gage valve assembly(3C) closed, this shuts off and protects thehydraulic pressure gage (2) during rapidand prolonged pumping periods when flush-ing nozzle or observing spray form. Usingupper discharge outlet (3D) and closinghydraulic pressure gage valve assembly(3C) isolates hydraulic pressure gage (2)and the nozzle under test from the nozzletester (fig. 1) permitting leakage rates orpressure drop measurement tests.

Note. Install and tighten cap nut assembly (3F) ondischarge outlet not in use.

b. Mounting Instructions. Mount the fuelinjector nozzle to be tested on the nozzletester in accordance with the connectinginstructions (fig. 2) using connector set4910-955-5517 (1, fig. 6).

Note. Connector set 4910-955-5516 (2, f ig. 6) isconnected in a s imi lar manner as connector se t4910-955-5517 (1, fig. 6).

c. Testing Nozzles.(1) General. For the v a r i o us tests,

connect the nozzle to the dischargeoutlets, as prescribed in (2), (3),(4) and (5) below. Use the spraycollector cup (2, fig. 5) for catch-ing the test fluid. For best results,tip of nozzle should be well cen-tered in the cup.Warning: Be careful of the pene-trating power of the atomized testfluid under pressure as it is suffi-cient to puncture the skin permit-ting test fluid to enter wound and

may cause blood poisoning. Keephands free of spray at all times.Opening Pressure. Use lower dis-charge outlet (3E). Open the hy-draulic pressure gage valve as-sembly (3C), operate the pumphandle assembly (4B) slowly and,when nozzle begins to spray testfluid, observe the pressure indi-cated on the hydraulic pressuregage (2). This pressure should becompared with that specified by theengine manufacturer and nozzleadjusted, if necessary, before pro-ceeding with further testing. Testshould be repeated several timesto be certain that nozzle consist-ently opens at the same pressureeach time.Spray Pattern. Use lower dis-charge outlet (3E). Close the hy-draulic pressure gage valve as-sembly (3C) and operate the pumphandle assembly (4B) at approxi-mately 15 strokes per minute.Make sure that all spray holes areopen and are spraying the sameamount of test fluid. The sprayformation should be sharp with arather solid pattern and the anglesformed by the individual spraysshould be uniform. A missing sec-tion or uneven spray pattern indi-cates clogged or eroded orifices.

Sample spray patterns are gener-ally shown in the engine manual.Chatter. Use lower discharge out-let (3E). Close the hydraulic pres-sure gage valve assembly (3C) andoperate the pump handle assembly(4B) approximately two seconds.The nozzle chatter must be distinctand regular. A sharp pitch soundis not mandatory, and an oc-casional skip or variation in thechatter sound pitch is acceptable.When nozzle chatter is not satis-factory and does not improve withcontinued operation of the pumphandle assembly, replace the noz-zle.Leakage. Use lower discharge out-let (3E). Open the hydraulic pres-sure gage valve assembly (3C) andopera t e pump handle assembly(4B). During prolonged pumping,drops of test fluid should not format tip of the nozzle. A second checkfor leakage can be made by main-taining pressure just below openingpressure and checking for test fluidleakage from tip. If this test is tobe used, reconnect nozzle to upperdischarge outlet (3D) and close thehydraulic pressure gage valve as-sembly (3C) to time pressure drop.Some manufacturers specify per-missible leakage rates.

17. General 19. Common Tools and Equipment

Repair parts, tools, and equipment areissued to the operator for operating andmaintaining the nozzle tester. Toolsand equipment should not be used forPurposes other than prescribed andwhen not in use should be properlystored.

18. Repair Parts

No repair parts are supplied to the oper-ator for replacement of those already onthe nozzle tester.

Common tools and equipment having gen-eral application to this materiel areauthorized by tables of allowances and ta-bles of organization and equipment.

20. Special Tools and Equipment

No tools specially designed for operationor operator maintenance are supplied orrequired for the nozzle tester. Equipmentsupplied is listed in appendix II, which isthe authority for requisitioning replace-ment.

Section Il. LUBRICATION

21. Lubrication

No lubrication is required on the nozzle tester.

Section Ill. PREVENTIVE-MAINTENANCE SERVICES

22. General

a. Responsibility and Intervals. Theprimary function of preventive main-tenance is to prevent breakdown and,therefore, the need for repair. These serv-ices consist generally of before operationand after-operation services performed bythe operator. Intervals are based on nor-mal operations, Reduce intervals for ab- (2)normal operations or severe conditions.Intervals during inactive periods may beextended accordingly.

b. Definition of Terms. The general in-spection of each item applies also to any (3)supporting member or connection and isgenerally a check to see whether the itemis in good condition, correctly assembled,secure and not excessively worn:

(1) The inspection for “good condition”

is usually an external visual in-spection to determine whether theunit is damaged beyond serviceablelimits by the following not bent ortwisted, not chafed or burred, notbroken or cracked, n o t bare orfrayed, not dented or colIapsed, nottorn or cut, not deteriorated.The inspection of a unit to see thatit is “correctly assembled” is usu-ally an external visual inspection tosee whether it is in its normal as-sembled position.Inspection of a unit to determine ifit is “secure” is usually an externalvisual examination or an examina-tion by hand or wrench for loose-ness. Such an examination must in-clude any brackets, lockwashers,

23. Cleaning

b. General Precautions in Cleaning.(1) Self-emulsifying decreasing sol-

vent compound, mineral spiritspaint thinner, and dry-cleaningsolvent are flammable and shouldnot be used near an open flame.Fire extinguishers should be pro-vided when these materials areused Use only in well-ventilatedplaces. These cleaners evaporate

quickly and have a drying effecton the skin. If used withoutgloves, they may cause cracksin the skin and, in the case ofsome individuals, a mild irrita-tion or inflammation.Avoid getting petroleum products,such as mineral spirits paintthinner, dry-cleaning solvent, en-gine fuels, or lubricants, on rub-ber parts, as they will deterior-ate the rubber.The use of Diesel fuel oil, gas-oline, or benzene (benzol) forcleaning is prohibited.

c. Rust Removal. Remove rust or cor-rosion from all parts of the materiel.To remove rust or corrosion from un-finished surf aces, use steel cleaningbrushes or abrasive cloth. On finished sur-faces, other than highly polished sur-faces, remove rust or corrosion bybuffing with a rotary wheel wire brushconstructed of steel wire between 0.010and 0.025 inch in diameter. Crocus clothmay be used manually to remove rustor corrosion from polished surfaces.

24. Operator’s Preventive-MaintenanceServices

a. Purpose. To insure efficient opera-tion, it is necessary that the nozzle test-er be systematically inspected at inter-vals each day it is operated so defectsmay be discovered and corrected beforethey result in serious damage or fail-ure. Certain scheduled maintenance ser-vices will be performed at these desig-nated intervals. The correction of anydefect or unsatisfactory operating char-acteristics beyond the scope of the op-erator must be reported at the earliestopportunity to organizational mainte-nance personnel for correction (pars. 33through 41).

b. Services. Operator’s preventive-maintenance services are listed in ta-ble I. Every operator equipped with thenozzle tester must be thoroughly famil-iar with maintenance procedures forthis materiel.

Section V. FUEL RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY

38. Description

The fuel reservoir assembly (2) ismounted on t o p of the body and plungerassembly (1) and consists primarily of areservoir (2B), cover (2J), center rod as-sembly (2G), and filter element (2D). Thereservoir assembly can be removed fromthe body and plunger assembly by takingthe cover off the reservoir and unscrew-ing the center rod assembly. Test fluidused for testing the performance of fuelinjector nozzles is stored in the reser-

voir. The fluid is forced through the filterelement to remove impurities.

39. Maintenance

a. General. Organizational personnelhas the authorization for the completemaintenance of the fuel reservoir assem-bly to the extent of removing, disassem-bling for inspection and replacement of allunserviceable components, and the finalsteps of assembling and installing the as-sembly.

b. Disassembly. Remove the cover (2J)from the reservoir (2B) by using a com-bined twisting and pulling motion. Unscrewthe center rod assembly (2G) from the bodyand plunger assembly (1) and remove theO-ring (2H). Slide the filter element (2D),filter washer (2E), and filter spring (2F)off the center rod assembly (2G). Removethe upper and lower filter gaskets (2C)from the filter element. Remove the res-ervoir (2B) from the body and plunger as-sembly (1) and the seal (2A) from thereservoir.

c. Cleaning. Clean the parts thoroughlywith an appropriate solvent (par. 23).

d. Inspection and Repair.(1) inspect the cover (2J), O-ring (2H),

reservoir (2B), center rod assem-bly (2G), filter spring (2F), filterwasher (2E), upper and lower

gaskets (2C), and seal (2A) forbeing in good condition (par. 22b).

e. Assembly. Install the seal (2A) onthe bottom of the reservoir (2B) and mountthe reservoir on top of the body andplunger assembly (1). Slide the filterspring (2F), filter washer (2 E), and O-ring(2H) onto the center rod assembly (2G).Place the upper and lower gaskets (2C) onthe filter element (2D) and slide the filterelement onto the center rod assembly (2G).Screw the center rod assembly into thebody and plunger assembly (1). Install thecover (2J) on the reservoir (2B).Note. One end of the filter element is red and

marked “top”. Be sure the element is installedwith this end in the upward position.

40. Description

The discharge block assembly and hy-draulic pressure gage (3, fig. 3) is mountedon the front of the body and plunger as-sembly (1, fig. 3) and can be removed byunscrewing four socket head cap screws(4, fig. 3). It consists primarily of a capnut assembly (2E), discharge block sub-assembly (2F), gage valve assembly (2H)with handle (2J), filler rod assembly (2B),valve seat (2C), and hydraulic pressuregage (1). The flow of test fluid from thereservoir assembly (2, fig. 3) is controlledby the discharge block assembly by openingand closing the gage valve assembly (2H).

41. Maintenancea. General. Organizational personnel

has the authorization for the completemaintenance of the discharge block assem-bly and hydraulic pressure gage to theextent of removing, disassembling forinspection and replacement of all unserv-iceable components, and the final steps ofassembling and installing the assemblyand gage.

h. Removal. Unscrew the four sockethead cap screws (4, fig. 3) and removethe discharge block assembly and hydrau-lic pressure gage (3, fig. 3) from the bodyand plunger assembly (1, fig. 3).

c. Disassembly. Remove the hydraulicpressure gage (1) by unscrewing it fromthe discharge block sub-assembly (2F).Unscrew the gage valve assembly (2H)with handle (2J) and remove the gasket(2G). Remove the cap nut assembly (2E),valve gaskets (2A), filler rod assembly(2B), and valve seat (2C) from the dis-charge block sub-assembly (2F). Removethe valve O-ring (2D) from the valve seat(2C).

d. Cleaning. Clean the parts thoroughlywith an appropriate solvent (par. 23).

e. Inspection and Repair.

Section I. SHIPMENT AND ADMINISTRATIVE STORAGE

Shipping Instructions

Responsibility. When shipping thenozzle tester, the unit commander will beresponsible for shipping the materiel, in-cluding all tools and equipment, adequatelyprocessed, packaged, and packed to protectit from damage until it reaches the echelonof maintenance for required repairs; or,in the case of troop movement, reaches itsdestination in a serviceable condition.

b. Army Shipping Documents. Prepareall army shipping documents in accord-ance with AR 725-50.

c. Preparation for Shipment. When thenozzle tester is removed from adminis-trative storage for shipment it need not bereprocessed unless inspection reveals it tobe inadequately preserved, or when it isnecessary because of anticipated in-transit weather or shipping conditions.Preservatives must not be removed or dis-turbed, except as necessary, to insure thatthe nozzle tester is complete and service-able. If preservatives are removed, theymust be restored prior to shipment.

43. Preservation, Packaging, Pocking,and Marking Instructions.

a. Preservation and Packaging. Pres-ervation of the nozzle tester must be suf-ficient to protect it against deteriorationand damage during shipment and adminis-trative storage and/or the subsequent in-terval prior to use. Under no conditionwill tools and equipment with criticalsurfaces be packaged without benefit ofsufficient preservation to assure adequateprotection (TM 9-200). Preservation andpackaging must be compatible with end userequirements.

b. Packing. Packed items must be ac-ceptable to the carrier, while affordingadequate protection to the items during

shipment and administrative storage and/or the subsequent interval prior to use.

c. Marking. All materiel will be markedin accordance with TM 9-200.

44. Administrative Storage

Section Il. DEMOLITION OF MATERIEL TO PREVENT ENEMY USE

45. General

a. Destruction of the nozzle tester, whensubject to capture or abandonment in thecombat zone, will be undertaken by the us-ing army only when, in the judgment of theunit commander concerned, such action isnecessary in accordance with orders of,or policy established by, the army com-mander. When in the hands of maintenancepersonnel or in storage, destruction will bein accordance with FM 9-5 and the infor-mation below, when applicable.

b. The information which follows is forguidance only. Certain phases of the pro-cedures outlined require the use of explo-sives and incendiary grenades which nor-mally may not be authorized items of issueto the using organization. The issue ofthese and related materials and the condi-tions under which destruction will beeffected are command decisions in eachcase, according to the tactical situation.Of the several means of destruction, thosemost generally applicable are:Mechanical . . . . Requires axe, pick mat-

tock, sledge, crowbar,or similar implement.

Burning . . . . . . Requires gasoline, oil,incendiary grenades,or other flammables,welding or cuttingtorch.

Disposal . . . . . Requires burying in theground, dumping instreams or marshes,or scattering so widelyas to preclude recov-ery of essential parts.

*Demolition . . . Requires suitable explo-sive or ammunition.

*Gunfire . . . . , Includes artillery, ma-chine guns, rifles us-ing rifle grenades, andlaunchers using anti-tank rockets. U n de rsome circumstances,hand grenades may beused.

In general, destruction of essential parts,followed by burning, will usually be suffi-cient to render the material useless. How-ever, selection of the particular method ofdestruction requires imagination and re-sourcefulness in the utilization of the fa-cilities at hand under the existing condi-tions. Time is critical.

c. If destruction to prevent enemy use isresorted to, the materiel must be so badlydamaged that it cannot be restored to ausable condition in the combat zone eitherby repair or cannibalization. Adequate de-struction required that all parts essentialto the operation of the materiel be de-stroyed or damaged beyond repair. How-ever, when lack of time and personnel pre-vents destruction of all parts, priority isgiven to the destruction of those parts mostdifficult to replace. Equally important, thesame essential parts must be destroyedon all like materiel, so that the enemycannot construct one complete unit fromseveral damaged ones.

d. If destruction by demolition or gun-fire is directed, due consideration shouldbe given to the observance of appropriatesafety precautions.

b. Method No. 2- Destruction by Burn-ing,

(2) Using a welding or cutting torch,burn through the body casting, fluidreservoir, hydraulic gage, carry-

ing case, spray collector cup, hose,and connector sets.In the absence of a welding or cut-ting torch, place piles of combus-tible materiel on and about thenozzle tester. Pour gasoline or oilover the combustible materiel andthe nozzle tester, ignite by meansof an incendiary grenade fired froma safe distance, by a combustibletrain of suitable length, or otherappropriate means. Take c o v e rimmediately. A hot fire is requiredto render the materiel useless.Elapsed time: about 4 minutes.

Warning: When igniting gasoline,due consideration should be givento the highly flammable nature ofgasoline and its vapor. Careless-ness in its use may result in fatalor painful burns.

c. Method No. 3- Destruction by Dis-posal. Bury the nozzle tester in a suitablehole or throw it into a stream.

Elapsed time: about 2 minutes.

APPENDIX III

MAINTENANCE ALLOCATION CHART

1. Purpose

The maintenance allocation chart allo-cates specific maintenance operation tothe proper level.

2. Basis

Allocation of maintenance operations ismade on the basis of time, tools, and skillsnormally available to the various echelonsin a combat situation and influenced bymaintenance policy and sound maintenancepractices as outlined in AR 750-5.

3. Explanation and Definitions

The maintenance allocation chart desig-nates overall responsibility for the main-tenance function of an end item or assem-bly. Repair and/or rebuild of majorassemblies is designated by authority ofthe Army Commander representative, ex-cept for the specific subfunctions listedin the maintenance allocation chart. De-viations from maintenance operations al-located to the maintenance allocation chartis authorized only upon approval by theArmy Commander representative.SERVICE To clean, to preserve, and

to replenish fuel and lub-ricants.

ADJUST To prevent or correct mal-function by maintainingprescribed limits or bybringing into proper orexact position.

INSPECT To verify serviceability andto detect incipient electri-cal or mechanical failureby scrutiny.

1. General

a. This appendix is a list of repair partswhich may be required by the using organ-ization for performing organizationalmaintenance but are not authorized to bestocked. These items are to be requisi-tioned as required for immediate use only.

b. For prices of items of Ordnance ma-teriel, see the appropriate supply manualof the SM 9-2 series. Prices of items thatare the responsibility of other commoditycommands may be obtained from the ap-propriate type 2 supply manuals for thosecommands.

c. Additional applications of items inthis manual are listed in the supply man-uals of the SM 9-3 series.

2. Requisition Notes

If the exact item requisitioned isnot furnished, or if other action isnecessary, the exact nature of theaction taken by the commoditycommand will be indicated bystandard symbols on prescribedforms.When requisitioning an item, therequesting agency will order thelisted item.
