Resolve

Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you-- unless, of course, you fail the test? (2 Cor. 13:5)

There was a certain rich man who had a steward, and

an accusation was brought to him that this man was

wasting his goods. So he called him and said to him,

“What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your

stewardship, for you can no longer be steward.” Then

the steward said within himself, “What shall I do? For

my master is taking the stewardship away from me. I

cannot dig; I am ashamed to beg. I have resolved what

to do, that when I am put out of the stewardship, they

may receive me into their houses.”Luke 16:1-4

Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?” Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”

Don’t make a resolution if you don’t intend to keep it.

Expect to accomplish your goals.

Make resolutions that are possible to accomplish.

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the

manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much

the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:25)

Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things

we have heard, lest we drift away. For if the word spoken

through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression

and disobedience received a just reward, how shall we

escape if we neglect so great a salvation… (Hebrews 2:1-3)

Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given

orders to the churches of Galatia, so you must do also: On

the first day of the week let each one of you lay something

But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Cor. 9:6-7)
