Vitamin D is a hot topic in MS research. People who live with MS, or who are at risk for developing MS, ask: Can supplementation improve MS symptoms? How much Vitamin D supplement is safe? In 2016, the MS Society convened a panel of experts to form Vitamin D recommendations based on the latest scientific data. These evidence-based recommendations are now available. It will help Canadians living with MS make informed decisions about Vitamin D supplementation and will also support healthcare professionals and policy makers.
