A buri Composites is an advanced composite materials company based in London. We specialise in composite LPG cylinders
made using aerospace technology. Advanced composites provide unique opportunities to create structural materials with enhanced functionality, creating new processes supported by high security controls.
“We specialise in composite LPG cylinders made using aerospace
technology.”We focus on the replacement of metal elements for composites within equipment used by the gas sector.
We believe in being socially responsible in a productive manner, taking care of society’s energy needs and providing our customers with high quality products which respect the environment.

Our GoalTo be recognised as a leading supplier and innovator of advanced composites within the LPG industry, distinguishing ourselves by providing excellent quality service to customers, an expansion of opportunities for professional and personal development to our employees, and a positive contribution to society and the environment.
C omposites continue to replace steel in novel applications such as LPG cylinders offering a less arduous manufacturing process for
ergonomic and environmental benefits.
Aburi Composites is keen to innovate a new line of lightweight composite LPG cylinders to the global market, which is based on technology developed 75 years ago and remains relatively unchanged.
“Aburi Composite Cylinders are lightweight, non explosive,
translucent and environmentally friendly.”
The latest generation (IV) of composite LPG cylinders are made of helically woven fibres, combined with resin, providing unique characteristics, including being lightweight, non explosive, translucent and environmentally friendly.
These new cylinders are composed of a seamless anti-permeation thermoplastic liner which is fully wrapped with epoxy resin, providing an unmatched combination of high tensile strength, lightweight and UV resistance to ensure optimum performance.
On the safety front, the Aburi Composite Cylinders boast that they are non-explosive – even when engulfed in fire. This is thanks to the heavy duty composite make-up of the product, which is manufactured to the strict standards of ISO 11119-3, ADR/RID 2015 and Directive 2010/35/EU.

“Aburi Composite Cylinders can be customised. You can choose the colour, print your own logo and add any other information
you may require.”
D espite the LPG market having made new steps to improve issues associated with steel cylinders, international associations,
including WLPGA and AEGPL are making a big effort to generate more awareness regarding this, there is still a big gap between what it is now and should be.
Traditional steel cylinders are heavy and difficult to handle, and they generate high logistical and maintenance costs. Unaesthetic as they are, they are easily damaged and therefore steel cylinders can be explosive under certain circumstances.
Steel cylinders are corrosive devices and many gas distributors have issues regarding this. Also, with thieves who steal them for scrap.
“Aburi Composite Cylinders have a longer lifecycle when compared
to traditional steel cylinders.”
From the consumers point of view, steel cylinders are unsafe if they are not well managed. The gas level cannot be checked and users can be affected by the weight and the risk of explosion.
You can avoid all these issues associated with steel LPG cylinders with the new Generation IV of composite LPG cylinders. Aburi Composite Cylinders are the latest on the market and they represent a real advancement. They have unique characteristics including being lightweight, non-explosive, translucent, non-corrosive and environmental friendly. Moreover, Generation IV cylinders have a longer lifecycle when compared to traditional steel cylinders.
