WALT identify adverb phrases
REMEMBER
A verb is a doing word or action
A phrase is a group of words that does not contain a verb
An adverb describes the verb
The adverb phrase tells the reader more about the verb
To find the adverb phrase;
• find the verb draw a circle round it
• find the words(phrase) that describe the verb (action)
It could tell you
where it happened how it happened
when it happened
e.g. Shaun can swim better than Mrs Robertson can.

using adverb phrases
