Message from Club Growth Director, Kathy Moore, DTM

District 55 Newsletter Editor [email protected]

As Club Growth Director, my goal is to support Wafae's vision of "One Team, One Dream" by: adding 50 new clubs to the district and retaining all existing clubs and helping make all of them stronger.

• The time requirements for this position will be kept to a minimum.• You will be given full ownership of your community.

o You know what works best in your community.o We will be a group of equals with the intention to assist our District Club Growth leader

and help promote Toastmasters International internally and externally.

Happy Fourth of July District 55!

"One Team, One Dream" means EVERYONE is involved in making the dream a reality. We already have about 30 motivated marketing team members who have been involved in demo meetings, have signed up to coach and mentor, and have been sending me new leads for several months now. To accomplish greater growth, we have established some wonderful club and member incentives, to be announced in the days to come. Stay tuned!

Message from Public Relations Manager, Ingrid Yaple

I’m a born promoter of people and causes. Toastmasters has been the primary catalyst in helping me overcome my fear of public speaking. More importantly, it has given me the tools and confidence to take on leadership roles. Since I had previously worked as a board member for many organizations, such as HOA’s, PTA's, schools, Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Austin, etc.; it was only a matter of time until I became involved chairing my club and area contests. Like the District Executive Team, I firmly believe in empowering and supporting our members locally.

If you are ready to learn more leadership skills, the district has different opportunities for you. I am looking for Assistant Public Relations Managers throughout the district. No public relations experience is needed, only a willingness to serve and learn:
