The present tense of – er verbs is made up out of 2 parts
Stem + ending Porter = infinitive Take the infinitive and remove the
ending –er port
You have to agree the subject with the verb! Lets take the verb porter.
Je porte = ending e Tu porte = ending es Il/elle porte ending e Nous portons ending ons Vous portez ending ez Ils/elles portent ending ent
How do we say? I am wearing trousers. Je porte les pantalons.
Jean-Paul is wearing a coat. Il porte un manteau.
We are wearing a jumper. Nous portons un pull.
They are wearing a yellow dress. Ils portent une robe jaune.
