Art is the creation and the brainchild of the artist. With “20-something” years of real
estate experience, Cheri Riley has continued to retool and redefine her art. Having held
almost every position in the real estate industry from launching broker and president of an
exclusive boutique real estate firm in Buckhead to working in development to reintroduce
an aging community, Cheri describes herself as having a large-scale view of the real estate
market. “You have to know the macro to manage the micro well,” she says. “And I’m
pleased when I bring value to my clients through applying my resourcefulness to do things
that haven’t been done before in my arena. I see possibilities that others don’t.”

A Miami native with her entrance into the real estate industry in
Winter Park, Florida where she consistently was a top producer, Cheri
came to Atlanta in 1991. “When I first interviewed her I instantly
recognized the energy, creativity and knowledge she possessed. I knew
she would move up the ladder very quickly with our company and
in fact, she was promoted to Vice-President – Managing Broker of
two different offices within the company in a very short period of
time,” says Jenny Pruitt, a real estate icon herself and CEO of Atlanta
Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty. Jenny continues, “Cheri
understands the needs of the client, whether it is a buyer or seller. There
is no doubt she is one of the most talented real estate professionals I
have ever known. I count it a real blessing to call her a business partner
and friend.”
With almost $2 billion in sales generated personally or directly
under her supervision, Cheri’s experience in sales, as a broker and as
a leader has buoyed her team’s effectiveness. “I’ve chosen my team

every transaction has Cheri’s objectivity and negotiation skills,” adds
Egle Kairtye, a team member, born and educated in Lithuania who

high-rises and the renovation of historical properties. She brings all of

In fact, Cheri consistently sets the bar for exceeding
clients’ expectations. Arlene Gilrain, a former client,
counts Cheri as both a staunch professional and a dear
friend. Gilrain recounts Cheri’s follow through on
their move from North Carolina to Atlanta. “We put a
contract on a house that was only 60 percent complete,
and I totally relied on Cheri to make certain that I got
that other 40 percent. She spent countless hours making
sure that all customizations were to our specifications and
she simply got the job done. I remember Cheri spent all
Memorial Day weekend finalizing the last minute issues
so that we could move in on June 1.” Whether one is
talking with current or past clients, colleagues or friends,
descriptions like fun, enthusiastic, knowledgeable,
professional and indefatigable resound.
Working with Mark Riley, Managing Partner at
Urban Realty Partners on The Brookwood, Cheri served
as an important marketing and sales advisor. “Cheri
was wonderful to work with,” Mark recounts. “She has
contagious enthusiasm for everything she does. She gave
us invaluable information about our target market and
what those clients would be looking for – everything
from the property’s amenities to the conveniences of
the individual homes.” The Brookwood is an upscale,

constructed at Peachtree and 28th streets in the lovely

thousands of contracts. Dede adds, “Cheri is one of the
most contract literate brokers in Atlanta. She’s not only
studied her own contracts, but as a broker she’s read
all of her agents’ contracts, as well. And as contracts
are changed or modified, Cheri’s knowledge allows her
recognition of any nuances that might negatively affect
our clients’ welfare. This is a huge advantage to our
clients - she’s uncovered a plethora of issues and knows
how to deal with them!”
