Gen. 18:18-19

Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him 19 For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the Lord, to do righteousness and justice, that the Lord may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.”

Abraham was a leader of his children.– He did this by

keeping the way of the Lord.

– Doing righteousness and justice.

• Lead to Christ.

• Train in habits of godliness.

Eunice2 Tim. 1:5-65 when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also.

Eunice was a faithful woman.– Her faith was not

an act, but sincere.

– Sincere faith can convert our children even without a believing father.

2 Tim. 3:1515 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Eunice began to teach Timothy when he was young.– She taught him

the Holy Scriptures.

– Eunice depended on this to make her son wise!

As a young person, it is possible to be a committed Christian.– He was about His

Father’s work.

– We need young people about Jesus’ business.

He taught only what was revealed.– He did not use

any tricks to deceive the crowd.

2 Tim. 2:2 2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

He demanded that the word of God be used by faithful men. Men who would teach only using the scriptures.

Bereans were fair-minded.– Received the word

with readiness.

– They searched the divine standard.

– This was done daily.

– To find out if the things taught were true!

Ps. 51:1-5 1 Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is always before me. 4 Against You, You only, have I sinned, And done this evil in Your sight— That You may be found just when You speak, And blameless when You judge.

Acknowledge the sin.– Come humbly

– Seek God’s mercy

– Not blaming others!

– Repent!
