Lord, gumuho angaking mundo sa pagkamatay ni

    tatay. Labis po akong nalungkot

dahil hindi ko nasabi na mahal ko

    sya. Naway lagi naming

maipadama ang pagmamahalnamin sa aming pamilya. Maiksi

lang po ang buhay, sana lagi na-

ming masabi ang I love you bago

    maging huli ang lahat. Amen

    Purisima kinampihanthose questions truthfully and

whether one [believes him ornot], it depends on how one as-sesses his testimony and wellleave it to those who listened tothe Senate investigation, pag-papatuloy pa ni Lacierda.

Why was the discount thatbig and what was the reason it

was given to him if it was notgiven to everybody who buys acar? ani Escudero.

Dinagdag pa ni See: Peoplecan capitalize on that and ask

    for favors.

Nina Christian V. Esguerra, Leila B. Salaverria,at Gil C. Cabacungan

My point is he appeared be-

    fore the Senate. He answered

MORE and more women are joining the top manage-ment of Philippine-based companies, according to theresearch arm of global financial services giant Credit

Suisse Group.According to The CS Gender

    SHOWBUZZ THURSDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2014 5ROMEL M. LALATA, Editor

Mark Gils happy placeBy Dolly Anne CarvajalW

    HEN my goodfriend, RalphEigenmann,

a.k.a. Mark Gil, intro-duced me to his lovelywife, Maricar Jacinto-Eigenmann, we hit it offinstantly.

An equestrienne, she is alsoa preschool teacher at Kinder-field Learning Center. No won-der shes caring by nature. Thegentle way she handles horsesand kids speaks volumes abouther. Ralph loved her fiercely.

It was his birth anniversarylast Sept. 25. He would haveturned 53. For the first time af-ter Ralphs passing, Maricarshares her innermost thoughtsand feelings.

    No doubt, Ralph will contin-

ue to baby Maricar from upabove. Here are Maricars mem-ories of that special day:

The family had a wonderfultime celebrating last Sept. 25 atRalphs favorite happy place,Montemar Beach Club inBataan.

Luckily, we had the entireresort to ourselves. Our familyalone occupied half the place!

    Chill timeEveryone had a chill

timeswimming in the oceanor in the pool, drinking coldbeer, and singing. All the grand-children were there, runningaround and playing Frisbee.

The most important part, ofcourse, was the food.Cherie(Gil) had ordered Ralphs fa-

    vorites,paellaand pinakbet.Yummy!

    I had brief still moments

whenever thoughts of Ralphpopped in my head. But it wasa beautiful party and I felt that

my husband had a big smile onhis face on his special day.

What I miss most aboutRalph is his killer smile. Itmakes my heart melt. I lovedseeing him smile because that

would tell me that he was hap-py. Every time he smiled, hisessence shone bright. That was

why he was loved by so many. The most important thing I

learned from Ralph is to cherishfamily. He valued me, ourdaughter, and all his children.

Keeping the family intact wasimportant to him. Im proud tosay that we made it happen bybeing together for 21 years.

Favorite moviesMy favorite among all his

movies is Batch 81. Its an in-telligent film and was ahead ofits time. I also love AlapaapandMagnifico.

    Ralph hasnt visited me in

my dreams nor have I felt hispresence. Maybe its also his

way of helping me cope and

move on. Up to now, I feel thathes still taking care of me.Maybe in time hell visit me inmy dreams. If he does, Ill askhim to do so every night.

Right now, Im coping fine. There are light and heavy days. Its pretty difficult when youmiss someone terribly. All of asudden, I would find myself intears.

Knowing Ralph, he hates itwhen I cry. So I s hift to happythoughts to make myself smile. Its a process and I know it willtake time. But the pain of losingsomeone is something that willnever go away. I take it one dayat a time.

My husband prepared mewell. Before he passed on, hereminded me to stay strong ev-ery day.

Im thankful for the supportof all our friends and fami-lyespecially (Ralphs manag-er) TitaJune Rufino, his chil-dren who have been calling andchecking on me constantly, my

AteTonnetteand SistahCherieand my daughterSteviefor be-ing pillars of strength.

I often tell Ralph in myprayers that I am certain thathe is doing okay. I know in myheart that hes in a happierplace. Ill be fine my Baby, be-cause I know youre just thereand I promise that Ill take careof Stevie.

You are the biggest love ofmy life. Till we meet again.

    Kapamilya winsABS-CBNs winning streak

continues. After winning at theAsia Pacific Stevie Awards, theKapamilya network bagged theGolden Stevie in the Companyof the Year, Media and Enter-tainment category, at the 11th

    International Business Awards.

THE late, great Mark Gil with his wife Maricar Jacinto-Eigenmann

SIBLING REVELRYPAM Mendiola on being comparedto younger sister Jessy: Ive longaccepted that I would becompared to her. Well, she joinedshow biz before me and her nameis more familiar to Filipinoaudiences. Thats OK with me.She has earned this through hard

work.On the upside, Pam added, Thanksto her, it wasnt hard for me to breakinto several projects. I never neededto go to so many tryouts.

    ALLAN POLICARPIO

THAT TOON SPIRITACTOR Gardo Versoza, who plays a

swishy gay in the GMA 7 seriesDading, recalls that he had a unique

coping mechanism whenever he hadto do torrid love scenes during his

Machetedays. Its impossible not toget carried away. So I think of Bugs

Bunny cartoons to distract myself. But I made sure not to laugh in the

middle of a bed scene so as not tooffend my screen partner.
