Today’s Writing Task: Write a complaint letter

Mcdonald’s just gave you a six pack of nuggets instead of ten or you ordered and paid for an extra large coffee at Tim Hortons but only got a medium -with no sugar.

Option 1: Write a song about your experience

OR

Option 2: Write a complaint letter.

This should be a formal letter with your address at the top and the address of the head office of whichever company you chose to write to. You will find their real address online, using a device of your own or help from the teacher.

Today’s Writing Task: Write a poem based on a Hans Christensen fairy tale

Pick one of the following fairytales and write a poem based on it: The Princess and the Pea, Thumbelina, The Little Mermaid or The Emperor's New Clothes. (or another of your own choice)

Option 1Write an updated version, as Roald Dahl has done. Consider rhyming but you do not have to. It should be in third person point of view

Option 2Write from the point of view of one of the characters in a fairytale. This does not have to rhyme either. It will be in first person.

Minimum length: 20 lines
