Toilet Paper Roll Roses

Supplies for one rose 4 empty toilet paper rolls Scissors Hot glue gun & extra hot glue sticks Paper Pencil Cup or other circular object Sharpie (optional)

Step 2 Trace the top or bottom of your cup (depending on how big you want your rose) onto the paper using the pencil. This is the beginning of the tem-plate you will be using for your layers of rose petals. Cut out the circle and fold in half. Draw three petals on the half circle and cut them out.

Step 1 Cut the empty toilet paper rolls lengthwise and flatten by rolling the empty toilet paper roll in the opposite direction of its natural bend.

Step 3 Using the template, trace the flower petals onto the empty toilet paper roll. Trace and cut all four sets of flower petals.

Step 4 Find the center of the flower petals and draw a dot. Set aside one set of flower petals. This set of petals will not be cut.

Step 5 From the other three sets of petals, a section will be cut out. From the first set of petals, cut one petal out by cutting toward the center from each side of the one petal leaving five petals.

Step 6 From the next set of petals, cut two petals out by cutting to the center from the side of two adjoining petals.

Step 7 The last of petals are cut in half so there are three petals for each set. All the petals are cut.

Step 8 Cut each side of every petal about 1/4 inch toward the center of that section of petals.

Step 9 Curl of the two sides of each petal.

Step 10 Roll and hot glue the single petal. This is the center of the rose.

Step 11 Hot glue the sides of the set of two petals together. Continue by hot glu-ing sides of the set of three petals, then the sides of the set of four, and finally the sides of the set of five petals together.

Step 12 Hot glue each layer of petals into the next layer. The single petal, cen-ter of the rose, is hot glued into the center of the set of two petals.
