In keeping with our strategic direction to advance the public works profession by promoting excellence and public awareness through education, advocacy and the exchange of knowledge, the Public Works Association of British Co-
lumbia and the Alberta Public Works Association is pleased to announce our continued partnership with Matrix Group Publishing Inc., in the production of our full colour 8 ½ by 11 inch, glossy stock magazine. This publication has replaced our newsletter.
The Roadrunner will be published three times a year and will be distributed by direct mail to our members, municipali-ties, British Columbia trade industry associations and First Nations communities. Please look for the next edition arriving January 2015.
We are also excited to continue including the chapters from Saskatchewan and Manitoba and the Alberta Municipal Su-pervisors Association. This increases our reach to individuals who are working for both the public and private sector in every facet of public works. This includes local government; utilities; engineering and consulting firms; roads; facilities; water, sewer and wastewater; transportation; and urban planning.
The success of The Roadrunner will depend, to a great extent, on the quality and consistency of its advertisers. It is through your advertising investment that we are able to publish this communication vehicle for the Public Works Associ-ation of British Columbia and the Alberta Public Works Association. PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTSThe preferred method for receiving completed digital ad artwork is as a high quality (300 dpi minimum), press ready PDF file. Ensuring that all fonts have been embedded and all colour has been converted to CMYK. Other acceptable file formats for digital files include high quality EPS, TIF and JPG. All file formats should be compatible with the following software whenever possible: Adobe CS (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat) as well as Quark 6.5.
