TOM WEISKOPF - COURSE ARCHITECT 1. Out of Bounds: Defined by the course-side points at ground level by white stakes, lines, retaining walls and/or curbing on streets. 2. Alternative to stroke and distance relief for Lost Ball or Ball Out of Bounds: If a player’s ball is not found or is known or virtually certain to be out of bounds, under penalty of 2 strokes, the player may take relief within two club-lengths on the nearest point on the fairway of the hole being played that: 1) is no closer than the point of the estimated location of the ball lost or 2) no closer than the point where the ball crossed out of bounds. This option is not available if the player has played a provisional ball for stroke and distance. 3. Penalty Areas: All penalty areas are deemed to be red penalty areas. Additionally, lateral relief may be taken on the opposite side of where the ball crossed the margin of the Red Penalty Area and that is no closer to the hole. 4. Immovable Obstructions Close to Putting Greens: Relief from interference by an immovable obstruction may be taken under Rule 16.1. The player may take relief if the immovable obstruction is on the line of play and is within two club- lengths of the putting green and within two club-lengths of the ball. 5. Tree basins: artificially lined, sunken or built-up with raised lips for irrigation are ground under repair; free relief may be taken. 6. Damage by Animals: Damage that is clearly identifiable as having been caused by animal hoofs is ground under repair from which free relief is allowed. If the ball is in the bunker, the drop must remain in the bunker. 7. Animal Dung: In the general area is played as a loose impediment. In the event animal dung adheres to the ball, the player may mark, clean and replace the ball. 8. Code of Conduct and Pace of Play Policies: are in effect and available in the Pro Shop. 9. Waste Areas: Waste Areas are defined by orange stakes and are considered part of the general area of the course. (Rule 2) Acceptable Pace of Play is 4 Hours.
