RATHDRUMIN

Rathdrumin graveyard, in the townland of Glebe, is situated on a minor road half a mile east of Grangebellew.

BANNAN Erected by Nichs Bannan of Termonfeckan in memory of his father James Bannan who departed this life the 21st of August 1799.

CAMPBEL See Murphy.

CAMPBELL In loving memory of Laurence Campbell died 27 Oct. 1927 aged 74. His wife Margaret

died 25 Dec. 1938 aged 84. Their son Laurence died 24 Dec. 1961 aged 77. His wife Catherine died 14 Aug. 1943 aged 51. Their son-in-law Harry Holdcroft died 10 Feb.

1969 aged 72. CAMPBELL

In loving memory of John Campbell the Glebe who died 25th Jan. 1964. His son Kieran died 1927. His brother Patrick died Sept. 1953 and his great granddaughter Fidelma Treacy died August 1969. Also his wife Margaret died 4th Oct. 1971.

COOGAN See Gallagher.

CORRIGAN Christum pro te morientem peccator aspice. Erected by Patrick Corrigan of Kellys town in memory of his son John Corrigan who depd this life June the i-th 1823 aged 24 years. Also the above Patrick Corrigan who depd this life April the 6th 1831 aged 85 yrs. and his wife Catherine Corrigan who depard this life Octr the 12th 1831 aged 81 years. Catherine Corrigan died 27 Nov 1870 aged 63 yrs. Peter Corrigan died 9

May 1877 aged 94 yrs. Bridget Corrigan died July 26th 1882 aged 35 yrs. Her daughtr Mary Corrigan died May 19 1889 aged 10 yrs. Requiescant in pace amen. Patrick

Corrigan who died 9 Oct 1904 aged 78 years and his son Laurence who died 17th March 1905 aged 29 years.

CORRIGAN See Finegan

CRILLY Thy will be done. Erected by Nicholas Crilly, Briar Hill, in loving memory of his mother Julia who died 4 Aug. 1950 and his father James, who died 22 June 1935. The above Nicholas died 16 March 1972.

DILLION/DILLON Erected by James Dillon Drumshallon, in loving memory of his mother Ann Dillion who died 23 Jan. 1930 aged 93 yrs. The above named James Dillon who died 31 Dec. 1959 aged 82 yrs. Also his wife Elizabeth who died 27 April 1966.

FINEGAN/FINNIGAN Erected by John Finnigan of Kellystown in memory of his grandfather James Molloy who depd this life May the ist 1806 aged 99 years and his grand-mother Margaret Corrigan and also his father Jams Finnigan who depard this life the 13th of April 182 o aged 70 years and his brother Jams Finnigan who depd this life the 6th of April 1820 aged 28 years and also his sister Catherine Finnigan who depd this life the 9th of April 1820 aged 26 years. Also her brother Patk Finnigan who depd this life the 14th of Octr 1820 aged 22 years. Judith Finegan died 10th Novr 1840 aged 31 years. Peter Finegan died Feby 27th 1876 aged 84 yrs. Patk Finegan died 29th Jany 1895 aged 61 yrs. Nichs Finegan died 1 May 1907. His wife Jane died 13 April 1904 and James Finegan died 24 April 1907.

GALLAGHER Here lie the remains of Nicholas Gallagher of Par sonst own who depad this life December 1809 aged 81 yrs. Also of his wife Margaret Coogan who depad February 1807 aged 68 yrs.

Erected in 1953 by Patrick J. Kane in loving memory of his father Peter, his mother

Jane and his brothers Peter and Michael. Also his sister Elizabeth died 2 March 1957.

Erected by John Levins, Sandpit, in loving memory of his mother Mary Alice who died 15 March 1929 and his father Francis who died 26 June 1952. Also his aunts and uncles interred here.

Here lieth the body of Patrick Livines of Reath who departed this life the 21st of

January 1773 aged y8 years.

In memory of the Revd R.H. Long for many years rector of this parish died Deer 25 1882 aged 76. And of his wife Catherine died August 8 1868 interred at Youghal Co. Cork. Their daughter Jane E. died June 24 1862 aged 20 years. Also Anne Haynes, mother of Catherine Long.

Erected A.D. 1862. Underneath this stone are laid the remains of Jam.es Louth of Salterstown who died 19th January 1858. Also his son John who died 28th March i860. And also his beloved wife Mary Louth who died 5th April i860.

McCULLIN Beneath this tomb are interred the ...ins of Mr James McCullin of Painstown .

who died 23rd March 1777 aged 60 ye... Catharine his wife died 10th (July 1792). Erected to their memor. McCullin their son of .faimer. (Horizontal stone broken across the centre)

McCULLIN Erected by James McCullin of Farm in memory of his father Patrick who departed this life 15th June 1806 aged 58 years. Also of his mother Anne who departed this life 16th March 1834 aged 80 yrs and also of his brothers & sisters.

McDONEL Here lieth the body of John McDonel als- too o- his brother- Patrick and Geo... all of the pari., of Dunleer. (broken stone)

McDONOUGH Erected by Bridget McDonough Bellview, in memory of her beloved husband George, who died 28 April 1902, aged 56 years and of their children Bridget, who died 3 June 1883, aged 2 years and Kate (Sister Mary Aclace) of the Order of St. Joseph of

Cluny, who died in West Africa 17 Nov. 1899, aged 23 years. Also his parents George

MULLOY This stone is erected in memory of James Mulloy late of Dunleer who departed this life 2nd of November 1806 aged 40 years. Also in memory of his father and mother,

brother and sisters.

MURPHY Erected by Patrick Murphy black smith of Killally in memory of his father Peter

Murphy who departed this life the 9th May 1807 aged 58 years and of his mother Catherine Murphy alias Campbel who departed this life the 6th of Novr 1795 aged 35 years. Here also lie the remains of the aforesaid Patrick Murphy who departed this life the 12th of September 1827 aged (39) years. P. Corigan Sculps.

BAWNTAAFFE

The graveyard at Bawntaaffe (parish of Monasterboice) is a small banked area overlooking the main Dublin-Belfast road. Only one tombstone survives.

MELLOY This stone was erectd by Thos Melloy in memory of his brother Garrett Melloy who

departd this life the 2 of May 1793 aged 27 years. Also Ann Melloy died 179(1) aged years.
