The Main Rule . . .“Reasonably resemble” means:n1. photo “depicts” the voter n appearance changes are OK n2. names “substantially similar” n variations of name are OK n address does not matter
Who Decides?
• Three top precinct officials, wcalled judges (GOP & Dem)
• All 3 must agree to REJECT
If ID Rejected?• Use provisional ballot
• Must return wwith ID
• Stinkiest part wof ID law
Two Good Rules• Additional evidence: voter wmay show another document wto help the judges’ decision
• On-the-spot update: You wmay change your name or waddress after the decision
Other parts of law• Curbside voters: may use a wvariety of IDs, but must wswear you have disability
• Religious exemption: swear r“I have a sincerely held object- rtion to being photographed”
