• Town Planning Scheme No.7– based on model scheme text from the Ministry for Planning– commenced process in 1993 to implement TPS7– current scheme TPS6 was implemented in 1984– TPS7 has recently come off advertising and will be presented to
Council for endorsement and subsequent approval by Western Australian Planning Commission and the Minister for Planning & Infrastructure.
– Role of the scheme is to set a clear direction for the assessment of developments. The scheme generally has a 5 to 10 year time horizon. The base principles of the scheme should be reflective and take into consideration the strategies identified in the Bunbury Integrated Land Use & Transport Vision 2030 and the Housing, Commercial and Industry Strategies.
