Tool Support for injection moulding & die casting

In 2020, we have taken another big step of change to adapt to the market and our customer’s requirements.Founded in 1955 as a tool and mould making company, Formentechnik is today, in 2021, an innovative service and solution partner for series producers & tool making companies (Europe / Asia).

Our support services range from the manufacturing process and tooling concept development for customers in Germany - to tool procurement in Asia and Southern Europe - to second-stage support. In January 2021, we opened another location in the Marburg area to bet-ter serve large tools up to 60 t.With three specialised locations with different mould and tool focus, we are one of the largest independent 2nd-stage supporters for injection moulds and die casting tools up to 60 t in Germany.We provide this service with digital support via the “TSM platform”, devel-oped by us, to ensure maximum transparency and to enable maximum tool availability with root cause analysis.

Founded in 1955 as a tool and mould making company, today Formentechnik is an inno-vative service partner for series producers & tool making companies (Europe /Asia). Our focus is on services for the areas of prototype tools, tools support and innovative, modular mould solutions for injection moulders. Digitally complemented with our own developed hardware and software solutions for digital mould management and monitoring.

As an innovative support service provider for injection and die casting moulds, mould support for us goes beyond the repair, maintenance, optimization or modification of moulds.Together with you, we want to live up to our corporate claim „together for your producti-vity“ by increasing the mould availability of your injection molds and die casting tools.

The TSM platform is a detailed digital tool book. It enables us to digitally document every job carried out on the tool in a simple and detailed manner. The documentation is done by means of text, standardised selection fields as well as with the help of media (pictures and/or video).

Tool ordersFor each support order, a clear order report is automatically generated, which contains all relevant information and media for the order.This includes:• Order type

(e.g. small maintenance, repair, optimisation)• Number of cycles• Relevant test steps

(e.g. inspection of the hot runner, lubrication of the guides, etc.)• Defect, damage patterns

All relevant tool information in one hand With your personal access to the TSM platform, you always have a full overview of your tools. You can also track the status of your tool order live. All you need to do is log in via your internet browser.

Tool dashboardThe information from all orders is processed and transferred to a tool dashboard.Here, all relevant information is displayed in clear diagrams.This provides an overview of the tool status at a glance, as well as a view of the indivi-dual completed service orders.Furthermore, the progress of the current service order can be tracked in real time.

Increased tool availabilityThe detailed and transparent documentation enables a more targeted root cause ana-lysis. This makes it easier for us to identify potential weak points, recurring problems on the mould, and possible optimization options.We can then increase the availability of your moulds in a targeted manner through coor-dinated measures.

Whether it is the maintenance, repair, modification or optimisation of injection moulding or die casting tools, we offer comprehensive tool support in one of our three specialised tool support centres or on site in your production. Through our broad cooperation network of Chinese and South European tool-makers, we procure series tools for you and are your direct contact from the beginning of the project and supervise the tools up to series production.
