Maryborough was a fantastic experience for our pushcart teams. Both teams performed extremely well in each of the five categories – Display & Presentation, Obstacle Course, Endurance, Sprint and Design & Construction. We achieved our best ever Pushcart results with Tootgarook Surf coming 3rd overall and Surfin’ Frogs 6th overall. A huge thank-you to Brett Hemphill and Dennis Burrowes for assisting the students in the construction of the pushcarts and Paul McIlfatrick for burning the school emblem and the amazing art work. The vehicles were much admired by many people at Maryborough.
Another terrific year for TPS.

Art News In art this week many of the children have
been drawing
their ideas for
the new board
for Australia
day. The board
will be an
illustrated map
of the
Mornington
Peninsula,
which will
include images
of some of our
favourite spots.
Joan Miro
This week the
children have
been learning
about the Spanish
artist, Miro. Miro
was a surrealist
painter, which
meant often he
painted things
that were not
realistic looking.
His work was
about his feelings and dreams. The children
loved his use of bright colours and playful
images. ==========================
