Hi,

If you’re a trainer or fitness professional and you’re reading this report you’re probably being underpaid and undervalued for the service you provide. I know how it feels, I was there too for years before I figured out how to massively increase my profits without working any more hours. In fact, by the time I had incorporated most of the concepts in this book I was spending significantly less time training clients in the gym and making triple the amount of money.

If you are serious about increasing your profits and making a real difference in your training business I urge you to read this report and take action on as many steps as possible. Take them one at a time at first if it seems like too much to handle all at once. I assure you, if you can incorporate even half of the principles in this report you will make more money this year than your past two years combined guaranteed.

1. Semi Private Personal Training Sessions (2 – 3 clients per session)

Most personal trainers never even consider semi private training sessions as an option for increasing profits. For some reason personal trainers are the only fitness professionals that don’t assume they can see more than one client at a time.

Think about this for a moment. Chiropractors book and see two or three clients in the same time slot bouncing between each therapy room. Physiotherapists also see more than one client at a time. They teach each client their rehab exercises and then go back and forth between their clients keeping an eye on all of them.

Even professional strength coaches at the most elite level never do one-on-one personal training. They usually have one strength coach for an entire team of athletes. Think about that for a moment, even the most elite athletes in the world who rely on their body and physical performance for their livelihood don’t get one on one personal training! If it’s good enough for a pro athlete it’s definitely good enough for your clients.

Training more than one person at a time is the easiest and most immediate way to double or even triple the amount of money you can make per hour. For example if you charge $75 per session for one on one training and worked 40 hours per week (assuming 1 session = 1 hour) the maximum amount of money you could make from training sales would be:

One on one personal training: 40 hours x $75/hr = $3000

Now consider Semi Private Personal Training session with just two people at 40 hours per week, charging each client $55/per session. The new equation with two clients per session at $55 each looks like this:

Semi Private training 2 clients per Session: 40 hours x $55 per person x 2 people = $4400

That’s over 30% increase in profit without working any more hours.

You could take this one step further and train 3 clients per session charging each client even less money. For example a week of semi private sessions with 3-clients at $40 per person would look like this:

Semi Private Training 3 Clients per Session: 40 hours x$40 per person x 3 people = $4800

Training 3 clients at $40 per session would result in a 60% increase in profits without working an extra hour. You could save each one of your clients over 40% per session while almost doubling your profits. That is a win/win situation all the way.

You can also use this system to free up some time and work less hours. This system is great because your clients all save money, they make new friends, the training sessions will always be fun in small groups like this, and most importantly you make more money. Everybody wins.

Profit potential per hour

Semi Private Training Sales Pitch Ideas and Tips:

1) Professional Level Training – All professional and elite level athletes do this kind of training, as well as rehab, chiropractic and other highly specialized therapists. In both these cases highly skilled professionals can easily divide their time between multiple clients. The same rationale applies to your clients, supervision is simple, the program design and your expertise is what they are paying for.

2) Social Support and Accountability – Group dynamics and social support are a key element to the success of any training program. Having another person involved raises the level of accountability and success potential of any program. It also makes the workout more fun and adds a side benefit of making new friends.

3) Cost savings – Semi private sessions are cheaper than one on one sessions but provide all of the same benefits and results.

4) Bring a Friend Strategy – Tell your clients that they can bring a friend to train with. You’d be surprised at how easy it is for your clients to find a friend of theirs who is also interested in personal training. They will literally bring you more money by bringing a friend and getting them to sign up for training sessions together.

5) Make A Friend Strategy – You can offer your clients the opportunity to train with another client who has the same training goals and the same experience level. This is an easy way for you to group two clients together who’ve never met but have very similar training goals and experience. They’ll most likely appreciate meeting someone new and will enjoy the camaraderie of sharing their training experience with another person. Most people hiring a personal trainer will be very open to the concept of working out with a partner. Matching clients with similar goals is easy. Remember you are the professional, if you tell them the program you’re developing works best when done as a group they will believe you.

2. Run Boot Camps - (6-12 clients per session) Boot Camps are like fitness classes but don’t require a choreographed routine, music, or any kind of equipment. Instead you can do all bodyweight exercises or add in one or two simple pieces of equipment like a medicine ball or some resistance bands.

Boot camps are a simple way to increase your profits per hour because you can train multiple people at once. Boot camps are less intimate than personal training sessions and therefore you can’t charge as much per session, but you can have more people in a boot camp than in a multi person personal training session.

For example a bodyweight conditioning boot camp could consist of 6-12 people at $20 per session; that is between $120-$240 per hour for you, and a great value for your clients. This is much cheaper than any personal training session your clients could possibly purchase but it will be of great value to them because in a small group like this you can still give them more attention than a full aerobics type class.

If you keep the group sizes small you can justify charging more than typical aerobics classes because each client will still feel like you are giving them some direct attention. Boot camps like this are great for clients who are just looking to get in shape and burn some calories and don’t really care to learn complicated weight training routines.

You know just as well as I do that 80% of all the people who go to a gym looking for weight loss will get just as much if not more benefit from a boot camp like this compared to one-on-one training sessions.

Never discount the social factor either. Clients will enjoy meeting others in the boot camp and it may also help with their commitment and accountability. You should market the social aspect of the boot camp as a benefit to this style of exercise.

Boot Camp Sales Pitch Tips:

1. Social Support – Social support is one of the biggest factors in the success of any exercise program. Boot camps provide a small group setting that builds social support and accountability. Smaller class sizes allow for friendships to develop which strengthen the feeling of accountability to the group.

2. Low Instructor to Client Ratio - Boot camps are smaller classes and therefore allow you to give each person in the class more attention than a full aerobics class. Clients will learn more about exercise and technique in this setting than a full sized class.

3. Cost savings – boot camps will be even cheaper than one on one or semi private personal training sessions.

3. Sell Personalized Nutrition Programs Exercise, Nutrition and Supplements should be your big 3 pillars of getting in shape and staying in shape. Your client’s think you are an expert on getting in shape otherwise they wouldn’t be coming to you. It is your duty to explain to them the importance of nutrition and supplementation and then provide it for them. Remember they are paying you for a result (weight loss, muscle building, toning whatever) it’s up to you to create and sell them the best solution that will get them the result.

3 Pillars of Fitness Success for Your Client and Financial Success for You

You know that any weight loss program has more to do with diet than exercise. This presents a great opportunity for you to educate your clients about the importance of diet and then sell them a nutrition program that will help them achieve their goals as fast as possible.

Popular fad diets fail for any number of the following reasons:

+ They require the customer to radically change their eating pattern + They require the customer to avoid certain foods that they might enjoy eating + They do not take into account the customers food preferences + They do not take into account the customers exercise habits + They do not account for the customers starting body weight and goal

bodyweight and more importantly their lean body mass [LBM] + They do not account for the customers previous dieting experience + Lack of understanding how to apply the most recent diet book they read

For all of the reasons listed above most mainstream popular diets fail.

Find out why Personalized Nutrition Programs are the most successful solution for your clients by assessing the next few statements.

www.empowerednutrition.com

Personalized Nutrition Programs are successful because they are built around all of the following data that is specific to your client:

+ Starting body weight + Their specific goal (ex: lose 10 pounds, build 5 pounds muscle etc) + Starting body fat percentage and goal body fat percentage + Feeding the Lean Body Mass not the total weight and fat + The foods they would like to eat + The times of day they would like to eat + The number of meals they’d like to eat each day + The amount they work out each day and the type of workout + Their previous experience with dieting

No mainstream diet book can build your customer a diet this specific to their needs.

With a personalized nutrition program you can now provide your client a diet that is 100% customized to their exact needs, goals, food preferences, and exercise program and lifestyle pattern at the right time in their life and goals to succeed. This should be an essential part of any training program you sell from now on.

Let’s be honest, every nutrition program in the world will work with the right calories and the right ratios, the right food choices, the right nutrient and meal timing, at the right time in your life to achieve your goals. Knowing how and when to make that happen and optimize the opportunity from where you currently are to where you want to be is an incredibly difficult task to accomplish. That is why your clients work with professionals and why they seek you out.

Give them the complete solution to their problem with Personal Training and Nutrition, then Supplements.

4. Sell Supplements The third pillar of your body transformation system should always be supplements. Most of your clients probably take a supplement already. You are the expert so they will listen to your opinion on supplements as well. You should be educating them on your own supplement philosophy and then give them a choice of supplements that you give a thumbs up to.

If you are not currently selling supplements to your customers you are missing out on a huge income source. The key point is that this is a recurring income source that provides profit without costing you any more of your time. It is also a way for you to leverage your relationship with the clients that you no longer see in the gym who still trust you.

Consider that most of your clients probably take some form of supplement already, even if it’s just a multi-vitamin. You should be leveraging the relationship you built with them by guiding their supplement purchasing through you and making a profit. Your job is to educate them on which supplements they should take and then selling the ones you trust. Remember you are their expert, they will trust you before any advertisement or store sales clerk. In fact, when a trainer make a recommendation for a product it might as well be a prescription. Most of your clients will simply do as they are told by you. The typical nutrition store clerk realizes that the recommendation of a trainer will trump theirs every time.

Use email to educate your clients on supplements and supplement sales. Join up with a supplement company that offers commissions for sending them customers. The more your customers buy from these companies the more money you make.

Recurring income

Recurring income is a major advantage of selling supplements that you cannot get from either personal training or personalized nutrition programs. Personal training sessions can be used as a time to educate your client about supplement, and a personalized training program can be built to include supplements.

Even if you only have a client in the gym once for one personal training session you can continue selling them supplements for years as long as you get their email and communicate with them every week. Keep the relationship alive and they will follow your lead. The number of clients you can see in the gym is limited by the number of hours in a week. The number of clients you can sell supplements to has no limit at all. Every client you have ever trained should be on your supplement email list and you should be actively selling supplements to all of them. As you build up your supplement client list your current personal training clients and income will represent a smaller and smaller portion of this list.

For example: Let’s assume you keep your personal training clients on average for 3 months. Let’s also assume you manage 20 personal training clients at a time. This means every 3 months you will have a new set of clients. By the end of one year you will have 20 current clients, and 60 former clients. All 80 of these clients should be in your supplement client list

Page 10: Top 5 Money Making Strategies for Personal Trainersgeorgettepann.com/pdf/memberinnercircle/downloads/... · and marketing of weight loss and muscle building supplements. Hi, If you’re

www.empowerednutrition.com

and you should be actively marketing supplements to all of them. By the end of year two you should have 160 people on your supplement client list. The point is that these people are still your clients even if you are no longer training them in person.

Potential Profit:

Let’s assume 75% of your clients buy supplements on a regular basis (this figure is mostly likely even higher as statistics show that more than 80% of the North American population regularly buy some form of supplement). Let’s also assume that in a given year you have 100 total clients on your email list, this includes clients you are currently seeing in the gym and clients that you used to see in the gym.

This means you have 75 people on a mailing list who trust you and regard you as their fitness expert and regularly buy supplements. I hope you’re starting to see the picture here. They should be buying all their supplements from YOU, not some clerk in a store somewhere.

Let’s assume you sell them a monthly multivitamin and a monthly container of protein for a total commission to you of $20 per client per month.

[Empowered Nutrition Suggested Online Retail Prices and Empowered Trainers Commissions: 24.99 + 39.99 @ 30% commissions = $19.50]

Your new monthly commission for selling supplements would be $19.50 x 75 clients = $1462.50 per month, or an extra $17,550.00 per year, without spending one extra minute in the gym.

This is also assuming you only sell them 1 multi vitamin and 1 protein container per month. Some of your clients will be interested in much more than this.

Let’s assume you can expand your client list by 100 clients per year over the next 5 years (this is not hard to do by the way, and this list can include other people you have never trained before, clients friends, other trainers clients etc).

Assuming 75% of your list will buy a supplement: that is 375 clients who will most likely buy a supplement from you.

Sticking with our example of $19.50 commission per month on each client buying a multi vitamin and a protein container your monthly sales commissions from a list of 375 customers would look like this:

375 clients x $19.50 commissions per month = $7312.50 per month, for a grand total of $87,750.00 per year.

This income source can always grow larger as your list of potential supplement clients always gets bigger no matter how many you are currently training.

Supplements can provide a huge profit source with minimal time investment. Just ask your clients what kind of supplement they already use then get them to buy it from you instead of

Page 11: Top 5 Money Making Strategies for Personal Trainersgeorgettepann.com/pdf/memberinnercircle/downloads/... · and marketing of weight loss and muscle building supplements. Hi, If you’re

www.empowerednutrition.com

somewhere else. If they don’t already use a supplement find out what their fitness goals are and educate them how a minimal monthly investment on their part into a simple multi vitamin, protein or some other product can help fast forward their results. You’ll be surprised at how many of your clients will thank you for the insight and information and will buy what you offer.

Profit potential from supplement sales has no measurable upper limit. The size of your customer list is the only thing that can limit your profits from selling supplements.

Don’t forget some companies will even offer you a commission on products your clients and friends sell, for truly passive income.

5. Joint Ventures A joint venture is simply a business deal between you and another business that is mutually beneficial. As a personal trainer you are in a unique position to have ongoing direct communication with your clients. Every training session is an opportunity to get to know your client better, find out what they need and build trust. The face time and trust you have with your clients is a major asset you can leverage.

You should be looking to do joint ventures with companies that can provide you with products and support to sell to your clients. You should be doing joint ventures with companies that provide you with the following products and services:

+ Supplement + Nutrition Programs + Exercise programs + Workout Clothing

In the cases above each company is interested in selling their products and you have customers to sell them to. You also have the ability to educate your clients about each product and broker the sales transaction. Therefore in this kind of joint venture you would get a percentage of each sale because you are acting as a sales rep. Search for these types of offerings on the web. Many companies will provide a commission structure for sending clients to their websites to buy their products. In the case of supplements you can also work out a deal where you carry an inventory of supplements and sell directly to your client, in this case you would need to buy the supplements at wholesale and then sell them to your clients at retail prices. You make more money per unit this way, but you have to invest some money up front and manage headaches and inventory.

The bottom line with any joint venture is mutual profit for you and another company. If you have something valuable to offer them (your clients) then almost any company will listen.
