Christmas 2013

1 - ‘Seasonal Starter’

For my first seasonal starter, I produced my Father's speciality 'Goats Cheese and

Chutney'. It's a simple dish that tastes absolutely delicious and takes less than 10 minutes

in the oven.

2 - ‘Seasonal Starter’

For my second seasonal starter, I produced another favourite dish from home. We

traditionally have this dish as a breakfast starter on Christmas day, as the light flavours

keep you full enough to last through the endless opening of those presents, yet not too full

that you can’t fully enjoy that massive roast dinner.

For my ‘Winter Warmer’ I created the traditional Baileys Hot Chocolate. This drink is

found around every British Christmas markets due to the warm, cosy mixture of tastes. A

classic not to be missed at Christmas.

For my first ‘December Dessert’ I have produced the yummy British favourite; Eton Mess. This scrumptious, creamy dish is lovely for those heavy christmas cravings, with a dash of fruit so there’s not so much guilt after having your second helping.

5 -‘Blitzen’s Baileys Sweet Surprise’

For my second ‘December Dessert’ I produced two scrumptious Baileys inspired trifles. With high rich custard filling, banana, chocolate, topped with Baileys cream, who doesn’t need at least one heavy indulgent during the christmas period. Enjoy. For more on how to make this dessert; smharte.wordpress.com

7 - ‘Children’s Christmas Cakes’

For my Christmas Children’s snack, I couldn’t picture anything other than the infamous rice crispy cake. This traditional snack made by countless generations when they were young is perfect for that christmas family baking session that is easy enough for the kids to enjoy making and get a little messy. Enjoy cleaning up after this one.

8 - ‘Cupid’s Cranberry Cocktail’

For my first Christmas cocktail, I created the refreshing Cranberry and Orange Vodka Cocktail. It may seem that this summery sounding cocktail may not be a festive favourite. However the refreshing lemon and cranberry mix is sometimes just what one needs after a heavy christmas dinner. For more on how to make this drink; smharte.wordpress.com
